I need to know the length of this all if I'm going to be writing anything though, so... Is this going to be short, or medium, or what?

It needs to be way more organized!

About the script, I was going to do something similar to this in Dallas, but it never happened. My friend and I did write a script though. Care to see?

Ok, Pardon the bad grammar, I was not the one who typed this. Or the grammar would be WAY better. My friend is kinda failing English...

P.S. Ignore the setting. Remember this was written for Dallas Tx, and for less traceurs than will actually be in the film if we take it nation-wide...

Here it goes, don't kill me...

The Few, The Traceurs

SETTING: Dallas Texas, in the year 2060. The world is distraught and distressed. Near Apocalyptic. Many have died, hunted down by the mutants. Most humans hide away in Ware-Houses, scared of the world in utter chaos. The only people that will venture through the city are the group of few. The traceurs. With their ability to flow through the enviroment flawlessly they are the only ones able to escape the mutants. So now, Xav, Caleb, Bruno and many other traceurs must survive in a world on the brink of destruction. They must find food, Water and Shelter to survive. Will they be able to out-do mother nature?

Intro Scene:

army man# 1: retreat! Tell all men to pull back! –gunshots- -lasers from mutants- -explosions-

RYAN: The national army thought they could fight off the mutants…they were wrong.

Its been two years since the invasion…what few survivors left took shelter in underground safe houses or really anywhere they could hide…then there were traceurs…a simple extreme discipline that kept them alive…they were really the only ones who got away from the mutants…including me…

 -ryan runs through the ruins of Dallas texas..hopeing to find supplies-…-he hides from some mutants behide some dupsters- -hes spotted- -he shoots one- tick tacks off the dumpster onto a building ladder-..he walks cautiously in the building looking for supplies..- he rummages through some old boxes and cubbords..

Ryan: Danmit! Theres not a danm thing in this place! –he relizes he just made too much noise singnaling two mutants down stairs. And he runs out back where the ladder was…he relizes he cant make it down..or back up. He jumps off the ladder and cat leaps onto the next edge…he jumps down each edge and runs from the mutants…

End Scene

Group Scene 1: *At a local park Caleb is teaching Xav a Reverse Vault*

Caleb: So put your hands like this, and swing your legs the oposite direction of a normal Vault.

Xav: I get it, Kinda like this?
*Xav attempts a reverse vault and bails*

Caleb: Try to get more speed and jump with more power next time.

Xav: Ok, I'l see what I can do.
*Before Xav gets a chance to re-try a reverse vault they see a Mutants chaseing ryan.

Xav: What's that?

Caleb: No time

Xav: Do we-

Caleb: Yes

Xav: what about-

Caleb: forget him..

-the two run off takeing advantage of the mutant distraction- -they find an old genral store to hide out in-

Xav: who do you think that guy was?

Caleb: who cares? He got the mutants away.

Xav: what if hes a traceur?

Caleb: I doubt that..he had a gun with him.

Xav: a gun sure could help…

Caleb: hey we’re traceurs we don’t need guns.

Xav: I still think we should help that guy…

Caleb: oh forge- -ryan gets thrown though weak wall-

Mutant #1: (subtitles) there…I finished him off. Lets get back to base.

-Xav and caleb stare at ryan…-

Ryan: uhhh….-he moves a bit-…-sits up-…-wha-…-looks up- -pulls his gun on Xav and caleb.

Caleb: - gets infront of Xav- hey man! Back off!...

Ryan: lowers gun- shhh! I thought you were mutants! But if you don’t be quite more will come…they seem to be attracted to noise…

Caleb: hey! We knew that!

-xav cuts in-

Xav: who are you?...

Ryan: me?..im a guy trying to survive. Names ryan. How bout you guys?

Caleb: don’t tell him! He might be a spy…

Xav: a human spy?..-sighs- sorry. Im Xav and this is my brother caleb. We’re traceurs.

-caleb glares and Xav-

Ryan: whoa whoa whoa..you two are traceurs?..

Xav: yea…why? You know about them? Most people don’t…or whats left of people.,,

Ryan: know about them? I am one..man I thought I was the only traceur left in the piece of shit world..

Xav: well we thought we were the only traceurs to…

Ryan: and lets keep it that way. Im out of here.

Caleb –mumbles- good riddance…

Xav: hey wait! We could use someone like you on our team!

Ryan: sorry. I walk alone. I don’t need anyone….

-ryan runs off-

Caleb: eh who neds him and his guns anyways..cmon Xav..

Xav watches ryan leave-

-caleb and xav make there way to the hide out..where a few non traceurs and the rest of there group takes refuge.

Bruno: hey! Xav caleb! Please tell me you brought me some food.

Caleb: -reaches into his bag and pulls out two cans- this is all I got…how much food and water do we have left anyways?...

Bruno: as for water..two trashcan fulls…and for food…well..we just ran out today…me and ashton gave our serving to the people without it..

-Ashton walks up-..

Ashton: don’t worry..we’ll find some way to manage

Caleb: yea me and Xav we’ll go see if we can find more tomorrow….hey Xav you ok? You havnt talked since we got back.

Xav: yea im fine. I just keep wondering about that guy..

Bruno: guy? What guy?

Caleb: nothing. Just another survivor we met..

Xav: who was also a traceur like us..

Bruno: what?? Then why dint you show him this place?

Xav: cus he said he walked alone…he wont survive long like that though,.

Bruno: that’s for sure! Well if you see him again. Try to get him to join the team.

Caleb: why? What if hes a spy? Then the mutants will find our hideout!

Bruno: cus we need all the people we can get!

Caleb: we’re better off with just us! That’s all we need.

Bruno: whats your problem man?

Caleb:…nothing..im going to bed…

Bruno: fine whatever…hey xav lets make one last run throught the city.

Xav: alright. I’ll take this one though. You get some rest.

Bruno: but you havnt been on your own before..

Xav: don’t worry about me. I’ll cya. –xav runs out into the darkening city-

Ryan Scene 1:

-Ryan thinks about Caleb and Xav…-
Ryan: hmmm…mabey I could use some help…naa groups are just a distraction..im better off alone…

-Ryan heres a noise on the distance. He draws his gun ready to run out if he has to..-

Xav: hey hey! Don’t shoot its me…

Ryan: -stares- how did you find me??

Xav: im a traceur. Climbing onto a building and spotting a fire isn’t that hard.

Ryan: eh well I’ll give you that one. But seriously what are you doing here?

Xav: I want you to join our team.

Ryan: look man, even before this invasion, I was alone. No family, no friends, I stood out for myself.

Xav: but you gotta understand..theres not many of us left..we need all the help we can get. Were running low on supplies. No weapons. And you seem pretty good since you’ve been surviveing alone this long…

Ryan: I don’t know..,but I could use some help…im out of supplies period…i’ll jelp out with whatever you need then im outta of this place.

Xav: sometimes I wish I could leave to….but cmon. I’ll show you the hideout.

Ryan:….

Xav: whats wrong?

Ryan: run…run now. –ryan pulls out his handgun and starts shooting through the alley-

Xav: ( yell) howd they find us??

Ryan: who cares! Run! –still shooting-

-chase scene through alleyways-

-mutants shooting- Xav gets picked in the leg-

Xav: ahhh!!!

Ryan: shit! –runs back for Xav- -shoots at nearby mutants- cmon man get up!

Xav: i..cant…

Ryan: we haft to! I cant hold them off forever! –shoots another mutant-

Xav: go on! they wont…kill me….they;ll try to…enslave me first..

-mutant noises getting closer-

Ryan: how do you know?...

Xav: trust me…I know….

-shot fired from mutant almost hitting ryan-

Ryan: aah!

Xav: Go!

-ryan shoots more- then runs off whispering - don’t worry..i’ll get you back-…

BACK AT THE HIDE OUT

Bruno: hey anyone seen xav? He was supposed to be back half an hour ago?

Caleb: what?? You let him go alone!?

Bruno: he said he’d be fine!

Caleb: -pushes Bruno- do you know how dangerous it is to go alone??!?

Bruno: i…i…

Ashton: hey! Stop it you two! –helps Bruno up- i know its hard caleb! But we’ll find him. Ive already sent 4 traceurs out to look for him..

Caleb: im going out there to help…bruno I swear..if we don’t find him-

-ryan jumps dwon form opening in roof-
Ryan: I know where he is.

Caleb: wha-?..

Bruno: what the- how did you find this place!? Who are you??

Ryan: im ryan…and I know where Xav is

Caleb: oh yea? Where!

Ryan: hes been….captured?

-Caleb runs at ryan-

Caleb: you son of a bitch! You got him captured!

-Ryan move out of the way tripping caleb-

Ryan: if it wernt for him we both would have been captured! Then where would you be? Atleast I know where they took them…I scouted out and fown the mutant base around here…that’s where there going…and im going to get him back.

I added on more to the script and wrote character bio's, but I haven't typed it up yet. and there is more to the story, along with a prologue and Ending.

Oh, and originally I was to play the part of Xav since the original cast was small. But, if someone else more experienced than I fits the role better, then by all means go for it.

So the other day I decided to go to the park and it was nice, but there were moths everywhere! Not like normal moths though, but giant hypno-moths!

I don't like the part about mutants or lasers. Or the future to be honest.

I thought this would be a home-brewed zombie Apocalypse style movie.

How about a tampered with rabies virus with an incubation period cut down to about 12-36 hours depending on body mass? The first outbreak popping up in a large city where the lab where the experiments were done simply because of a terrorist who'd managed to work his way into the depths of the lab. The scene cuts to our traceurs enjoying an awesome jam when several zombies blast out of nowhere and start charging them down. Most of the people just book it, some are attacked, and others try and stand and fight, to varying degrees of success. Cut to the next scene; A house of somebody who was putting up traceurs for the jam who is still alive, where a few freaked out traceurs are discussing what the hell just happened and try to figure out the why and how of it all. A few more people show up and after a long night everyone decides to get some sleep. When they wake up the next morning, hell is blooming. There are even more 'zombies' than before and now they know something is definitely up and they need to get the hell out of dodge. The rest of the movie is either about how our lovable freerunners are trying to find ways out of the city, (which is already partially roadblocked/shut down), or the few few trying to figure out what happened. The end of the movie shows the government barely containing the outbreak and saving thousands of peoples lives, or our heroes going their separate ways across a country that is now being rapidly infected with no hope for a cure or a way to stop the 'zombies' without killing innocents in the process.

Very Nice! The only reason we strayed away from calling them "zombies" was because of all the new zombie movies popping up. And the "Mutants" were being controlled by a chip created by Xav's dad, and the chip was stolen by Ryan and given to the "Bad Guy"...

That's where I got the second idea from.  Unless I'm thinking of the wrong movie. It's the one where they send in that girls and team of Elites. And the girls mother was left while she was sent up in a helicopter?

yeah i gotto agree with that one, the mutants, lazers and the future is a bit much.

i wouldn't worry too much about the idea of "great, another zombie movie" thing.

for me, what gives a movie depth and is worth seeing is believable characters... in accordance to the story line and setting and etc of course (superheroes aren't real....yet...lol)

I.E. zombieland for instance, total apocalyptic world filled with zombies. yeah it was just another zombie flick, but the characters in the movie were believable because of good development throughout the movie. they had three dimensions as they call it. as well as you can connect to them on some basic level! i mean come on, who couldn't connect with Tennessee and his deep pain for loosing his son? moreover i'm sure some of us would certainly react in the same way and take out his emotions by killing zombies with a flare!

you have an awesome idea. maybe just work on a concrete story first then turn it into a script?

And yes, you can help, whatever you can do, do it! this will require a lot of planning and probably won't happen this year... I don't know a whole lot about movie making at all. So, do your producin thang!

n an apocalyptic vision of the future, authorities brutally quarantine Scotland as it succumbs to fear and chaos when a virus strikes.
