Walked around in the woods.
Did a water treading workout for 20+ minutes.

Today i moved some furniture.
I warmed up then squatted
3x3 @ 185, 205, 245#
Tonight ill be doing another water treading workout.
I also have krav maga at 730

Krav maga Was good, did a lot of knife work. Mostly stuff we had done before but some new ones as well. This is the stuff that needs to  be practiced a lot though.
Water treading workout was good as well. 23 minutes followed by breath holding stuff. Got 1 minute and 20 something, but i think i can beat that no problem.

Been GTG with OAC's at work, the bar is like an inch or two from full ROM. so im not going from full shoulder extension. Which makes it poss. for me to do them on my right as well though. Not always getting them on the right a lot it is eye level to the bar. left is always a full rep. then negative.

Today so far:
Swam really f#cking far. far enough (and without eating first) that i felt like i used to when i would go to the gym at 5am and do hour long crossfit workouts. Shaky, headaches, and possible vomiting...
But now that i've eaten im doing alright.

So on saturday i swam far enough to make me feel sick
Today i did the same distance and then another lap. Again i felt shaky headachy etc...
I was doing fine until I did a sprint speed front crawl between two of the buoys on my last lap. That just kinda took it all outta me.
i did eat before-hand this time though, and now I'm home and I've eaten again, so i feel fine. Its a really nice day(cloudy might rain, my favorite days), so I'm going to go be wild out in the woods.

If i don't have work i might squat as well.

Swam, not for distance today, practiced stroke form and swimming balance drills.
Dragon flag work
Some planche work
minor kettlebell stuff

It gets that way after a while....

Today
swam more than half a mile but less than a full mile
Did about half of it using the CSS(combat swimmer or side stroke)
Very efficient swim style, wasn't even tired afterward. Granted, i was wetsuiting it; so i floated better. (Im naturally pretty negative[i sink] in the water)
Still needs some tweaking, but that will come with practice.

Yesterday
Ran 1.2 miles, short but fast.
Swam almost a mile.


Today
Timed 500 meter swim, using only breast stroke or side stroke.
11:35, i want to get it below 11
Then swam another 800m

Later today I'm going to squat and do planche stuff.

Moved my weight set, kettlebell, a picnic table, and two mattresses.
Climbed random stuff.
Fell on my chest. Got a charlie horse on my thigh.

Squat in a downpour:
1x5@135 warmup
5x5
2@185
3@195
Easy.
Thunder lightning and pouring rain gets you in the zone.

Need to stretch.
Swimming tomorrow.

Today
Swam 1000 yds, CSS. Tiny bit of front crawl and breast stroke in there.
No wetsuit today, I still don't float well, takes a bit of distance off of each stroke.

Work at 1

BEEN A WHILE HUH?

Today
Oct 12, 2010

Some random patterns through the tree and then:
"300"(technically 325 today...)
I dont have a name for this workout so i call it 300.
It is:
Alternate 10 ring pushups with 20 kettlebell swings for 10 sets.
This totals, you guessed it!, 300 reps.
Each set of pushups do a different kind(close, wide, pseudo planche, dips, flys etc.)
The last three rounds i did 5, 10, and 10 pull-ups,respectively, after the pushups.

Do it with as little rest as you can.
I GOT VERY TIRED.

Oh my another long time.
Resting since wednesday, until at least this wednesday.
I've been having back issues so i went and got a massage, and am resting epsom salt soaking and drinking wayyy too much water. Because snowboarding is hard on the body.

Since last update i've Learned:
Straight arm tuck handstand press
straddle press
straight leg press
Hold tuck planche for 50 seconds

Will update again when im training again.

Commando Krav Maga(The krav group i studied under) Really has like Level 1 and 2 instructors but not a classification system for its students. The instructor who tought me was Level 2 certifieed, but also in the martial arts hall of fame for Shorin-Ryu and something else, and Other ridiculous things in Filipino Martial Arts(FMA) Kali and Escrima.
So we did some mixing of all of that in my training. So i have no idea what rank i am. But i feel more confident in being able to defend myself....

Today
Im headed to the gym to check out some parkour classes a local guy puts on.
Going to take it easy, do a proper warm up and cool down.
And an epsom salt soak later.
