Current TV
« on: July 19, 2006, 06:47:45 AM »
I have a channel on DirecTV and they have a channel called "Current."

David Belle just submited a POD (Viewer created content) and I just viewed it. www.current.tv will tell you when it comes on again.

"David Belle invented the urban sport Parkour, a mixture of North African hunting techniques and Vietnamese martial arts. To learn more about Parkour, visit http://www.urbanation.tv"  They say this in the description. I personally had no idea about the north african hunting techniques. I wish i could watch it. I don't catch that channel.

How friggen cool does that sound though.

A mixture of North African hunting techniques and Vietnamese martial arts.

Makes us sound like a bunch of deadly animalistic ninjas.

Good point. They must have been shadown ninjas. They were made out of pure shadow and so people thought it was just there shadow.

Ok that's enough. We are way off topic now. Sorry.

well, george hebert (sp?), anyways, the guy who came up with hebertisme, first came to his epiphany on physical fitness and usefullness while stationed in africa in the french military.  He was observing the native african hunters, and was like "ooh snap, we should all be able to move like that!" (very paraphrased)
