Part of body - description of injury, rating of severity 1-10.: when it happend-2, an hour later-10, presently- it only hurts if I try to run, do a squat, or hit it on something

Could you / how could you have avoided the injury?: My body was telling me to rest after doing a leg workout and I ignored it... shouldn't have ignored it.

Notes on the experience?: My body was telling me to slow down and I didn't which led to the unfortunate mishap and took me out of the game for four months, as soon as I get back to where I was I am taking conditioning my legs much more seriously.
