I started when I was 15 years old.  I have been performing Parkour for 10 months now.  I believe everyone feels like they started to late.

My son just started.  He's seven.

I think it is fantastic that your son is starting already!  Kids are so strong.
We want to overcome our fears, not ignore them.

I started when I was 14. But I turned 15 seven days later... >.>

But yeah. The best age to start is now.

I agree with Spencer.

I'm 13 here, I havn't been active all that much in my life but I'm not overweight, or anything like that, I'm looking to getting into parkour and then after a while maybe trying some free running.

I have just now started to train and I am 20.
I think this is the best point in my life because I have more free time due to college and I have the discipline that I have never had before.
If you put enough dedication into it and truly throw being athletic into your lifestyle then I think almost any age would be possible.

You'll get my quote in the next few months if I am sticking with those words ;)

Knew about parkour at 16, started serious training at 18. I'm 20 now.

Imagine where I'll be at 22! :D

I started when I was 17. I was a defensive lineman on my football team. If I can do parkour, anyone can.
Aren't we all running?

Too right, I started at the start of my Sophomore year, a few weeks ago, and I have been having a ball with it. I have had discipline training due to martial arts, but now I am actually applying some of that everyday in my training. And yes, college is amazing like that, we have all that free time after classes and such when were not studying :p

Same with me, I started about right when I turned 20, which was in July. I got my friend into it and he's starting at 13. He complains that School takes alot of time away from Parkour, and he says I'm so lucky to be out of school. But I have work so I tell him that I don't really time for it either......... that's why I usually train at Midnight.

Lol, there's not much to say.  As everyone has said, there's no "wrong" age to start.

For all the peeps out there thinking "I'm to old," "I'm to young," just do it.

Thirteen and already started.  Woot.   ;)

I started at 17.
I think it would be hard to do much training where i live at a younger age because i gotta drive about 15 mins to get to a slightly more urban enviroment. i basically live in farmland.

He he yeah I have done alot of posts on here, but in my defense I am extremely dedicated to my training, I've progressed so much in these 2 and 1/2 months.
And good job on the split kong technique  8)

i think the thing is that ive gotten so used to normal kong, that i do it better than split leged, i got just as far/high, and i felt more comfortable doing it the old fashioned way :P
