All ages, man.  I've seen 10 year-olds and 45 year-olds training together.  It's freakin awesome that way.

I feel like I started too late....

I am 18 years old and been physically inactive all my life.

I would say all ages, but you should have some physical endurance before you do.

I started at 20 after being physically inactive for years.  It's hard, but it's all about dedication, man.  If you want it bad enough, you will get fit.

I wish I started that early, lol.

Hell, I started when I was 11. But I really dedicated myself to it this year, and I'm 14.

well... since age 6 or 7, I've been jumping and vaulting over stuff (Before I knew about Parkour or that "Grown Ups" did it)  I learned about Parkour at age 9 and then started practicing it as that...  but I never really was serious or knew the philosophy and the background until age 13 when I met some other people who did it and then looked up EVERYTHING about it so I wouldn't look stupid... since then, I've trained fairly seriously... I'm now turning 18 next month

Oh and before anyone says, DO A BARREL ROLL! or something ridiculous that a seasoned free runner should know, I've only really gotten into Free Running in the passed month... I've always wanted it Pure, the efficiency, the movement... but then I wanted to have some fun with it and show off a personal flare and creativity... so for the passed month, I met with my friend who is a Tricker (it's apparently an official branch of PK/FR/(TR) now) and started learning flips and such...  I only have the Front Flip and Wall spin down as far as those go... but forever I've been interested in things like the Palm Spin and the Sit Turn, so I learned those even though I was strictly Parkour

like everyone else is sayin, there is no normal starting age. i didn't start up parkour until about 4 months ago, and i'm 21. :P i wish i started earlier, but better late than never! ;) i've been really active before parkour though, so it's not like i jumped into parkour from no physical activities.

Well, we had the ingenious idea of doing Palm Spins on a picnic table then bracing it against a wall and slowly making it steeper and steeper until it was straight up and down... great way to learn because you get each step and feel how the changes in degrees effect the grip and the jump so that you can predict the next angle and be ready for it...

Just make SURE that the picnic table is braced VERY good... we wouldn't want anyone busting their face, because that would be funny

i find it kinda weird that people are concerned about age to start
imo you can start when your ready to dedicate time to PK not when you reach a certain age or hit a age barrier

I started at twelve... I'm fourteen now. And I'll be fifteen in a few weeks. My 3rd year is coming up a few weeks after my b-day.

The best age to start Parkour is 45.  Bar none.  Unless you're 13.  Then it's 13.

My son just started.  He's seven.
