"Jump!"
« on: July 31, 2009, 07:24:37 PM »
"Jump you ****ing Emo!" I heard as I was sitting on top of my roof taking pictures.

Back story, I climbed onto my roof to take a few pictures of the clouds and trees. I am a 3D artist and its nice to have a few concepts. I decided the scenery was nice out so I wanted to lay there for awhile and watch. It was quickly ruined though by immature kids telling me to jump and calling me an Emo. I don't let others get to me but seriously? what the hell. I am on a one story house, how in what way am I Emo? I jumped I have no ladder and these kids (5 of them) erupted into how dumb I am and a I believe "Suicidal retard" they called me.

My point is, why are todays kids so out of hand? Even more so disrespectful, I was enjoying a nice view I haven't seen in ages.

It's jealousy and immaturity mixed. Don't let it get you down, just keep being yourself.  ;)

You should reply to people like that with an attitude like you were dealing with a child.

And if they're really persistent, retort with inter-speak.

Take them by the ears and spank them. Lol.

Parents need to teach their kids to be more respectful these days.

My theory is that people don't think about what they say or do until hours maybe even months after they've done it, and usually when they do do the horrible stuff they're just going off of what they've been taught to do or how they've seen people act. Maybe it's to get attention from they're peers, I dunno. People just aren't very self-aware when they do these things.

yeah I did, no other way to get down. I normally don't take jumps that are bigger than me. (Scared of Heights, but im working on that o_o) I also know how to land properly to not screw up my body lol

The dumbest thing about this night. I went running around the park and did a few vaults over tables and other assorted objects. I met up with the group of kids again! They sat their and told me how dumb I was and what a waste I was doing practicing.

Instead of jumping you could lower yourself down and minimize impact...  :P

A long time ago when I was in high school, kids jokingly called me an "emo wrist-cutter" because my forearms and wrists were always cut from doing cat leaps and wall runs hahaha!!

What you need to do, is do a backflip flash kick off the roof and shoot a fireball out of your feet at the punks. That'll show em.

I don't know what an emo is and why people hate emos. Regardless, it sounds like kids are making fun of suicidal people. This society is going to shit . . .

Simple way to deal with the situation: Don't feed the trolls.

Don't even give them attention. Sometimes when I am at the park, these skateboarders will show up. Now I'm just minding my own business and conditioning, but of course they always yell things to me. I just pretend that my music is too loud in my headphones to hear them and I keep doing what I was doing.

If you don't give them attention or even acknowledge what they are saying, you become a very boring target and they will move on.

I am a teenager. I am much more mature than many other teenagers. I don't ever make fun of suicidal people cause that's serious stuff.

That would show ANYONE whos boss.

Note to self, learn to throw fireballs from your feet.

Off Topic - Funny tidbit about that, I saw this video where a man had oil on his hands, and someone lit it on fire for a performance or something, and his fire-retardant gear didn't work, so he started flailing. He was waving his arms, causing large amounts of oil to go flying off. He was throwing fireballs at the crowd. Rofl...
