That sun has to larger than our SOLAR SYSTEM!

But I thought there was a law that if an object was big enough it's own gravity would turn into a black hole...  :-\

Anyways, that sun has to be a super giant, it has to be. I just don't believe it could get any larger.

That is only after it goes super nova. as long as it produces enough energy to counter act gravity it will be stable and once it loses all of its fuel it will then supernova and turn into a black hole .(Sorry if this seems pointless but I'm a Astronomy geek,so I thought I would help.)

This is the "Pale Blue Dot" photograph of the Earth taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft on July 6, 1990. The Earth is the relatively bright speck of light about halfway down the rightmost sunbeam.

I love this photo because of what Carl Sagan said about it.
"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

Easily one of the most beautiful photos ever, “Pillars Of Creation” was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope on April 1, 1995.  It is a giant nebula over 7,000 light years away from Earth, that acts as a “stellar nursery” for new stars.  The “pillars” are massive clouds of hydrogen gas and dust illuminated by nearby newborn stars.  Just about everyone in the world would recognize this photo, although some may not be exactly sure what it is!

Nah, I think Pics & Vids is more suited for PK pics and vids.

Kyle, that Pale Blue Dot photo always gets me thinking about how insignificant (by comparison) we really are lol. It's just mind-boggling how vast the universe is.

I know. It really is amazing. Especially when this is all we know of the universe.

This image depicts the deepest photo of the visible universe thus far in history, released by NASA on in March of 2004.  This view is composed of two separate images taken by Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys, and the Near Infrared and Multi-Object Spectrometer.  It reveals the first galaxies to emerge shortly after the big bang (400-800 million years, short in astronomical terms) when the first stars reheated the cold and dark universe.  The image contains over 10,000 galaxies, of varying shapes, sizes, and colors.

I was watching the science channel one time when they were doing the whole Hubble fixup deal and they said the actual picture looks nothing like this. They use a bunch of image reconstruction and color things how they want (within reason).
