Hey...
« on: July 16, 2006, 09:50:10 PM »
Hey everybody.
Uhh... well im new. to the site and the whole PK thing in general.
First off ima introduce myself. My name is Roman, 15, and live in the Medina area.
I have never done anything that can really be called PK or the whatnot, just climbing any big rocks that i can... and not very well might i add.
Parkour has just been something i have wanted to get into and do for the longest friggin time. Ever since i saw my first vid, i fell in love. The whole thing is just so beautiful. Also i wanna use it as a way to get into shape, and stay fit. Cause as of right now, ima bit "big" for my age...

As what i have tried to do, there isnt much other than climbing. My friends got a trampoline and i mess around on it sometimes. I cant do jack crap on it. but im going to try to learn how to do flips and amazing things like that. Find a place where i can dash and vault. And learn how to roll out of a big jump. If any of you live in my area and want to try to help me out, just send me a PM. Or if you know of any places or other people in this area that can help me.

Yall rock, thanks.

I don't really live in that area, well I do somewhat, but I would be glad to help you out and I'm sure many of us would. What you should do is watch as many videos you can from this site, meaning mainly the good ones, for a better idea about Parkour, and also read the deffinitions and faq here centering Parkour. This should help you in the mindset but as for skill level and training first off go out and practice, next before you do that read up on the tutorials here, and after you read those but before you go out and pratice look in the recent new articles on the front page until you find one that says U$F vol. 3 released, you must download the video and watch and listen to the whole thing. This video will help you very very much giving you training tips and ways to help fear and many other things. He is one of the greatest Traceurs ever so listin to him intently. k

Glad to have another person into Parkour. Just remember never give up on Parkour or yourself. If you do, you might not fit in to well.

Thats the first help you seem to need judging by the post. ok  ;) Get cracking and report on your progress.

oh duh, also, if you seem up to it and are ready or even if your not you should find a way up to our jam when we finish planning it. It will be a great way to learn and have fun. It is most likely going to be in toledo and we are not sure about the date but in a few weeks. Just check back on here for more advice and updates on the jam planning probly in our jamming section. Have fun.
