I suppose this isn't called a wall run, but when I run horizontally on a wall to clear a big gap I can only get a few steps before I have to spring off. Anyone know how to squeeze more steps out of it?
Cheers

In my experience there's really no point in horizontal wallruns. You'll get just as much distance (maybe more) with just a single tictac and you won't waste all that energy.
Having said that, I've never seen anybody do more than 3-4 steps horizontally on a wall.

How do you do them?
And also a situation you could use them is when clearing a straight forward gap because if you did a tic tac you would need to push off really hard because you would fall short or you need to push off straight... but then you might hit the wall...

The idea is to stay close to the wall, you kinda direct your momentum. Like with a tic-tac. However you're still continuing along the wall. It can be used to clear a gap you couldn't normally jump. But you better damn sure it'll work. A move like that is Super Expert Mode.

Yeah... I guess. Well I did do an amazing 2 step wall run on an eight foot wall.... it was just a wall... there was no way down... I ended up climbing over and dropping from maybe halfway up... ( It looked like I just did a cat leap)

do you need shoes with good grip for tic tacs or do they just make it easier

Make sure you don't trip yourself while doing that. i tend to hit my left foot when i bring my right foot over it.

im not sure what i find more efficient..
KEY: - and / = person | = wall
would it be better to have your body vertical from the wall, and then roll, -|
or is it better to angle yourself TO the wall \|
ive seen various people proceed both ways.. im wondering whicch is efficient

haha you suck navi. ill see you in like a week. in my experince though its whatever works for you. i can get 3 steps sometimes, normally 2. ive got 4 once and almost busted my face. Just remember that your guiding your initial jump not creating more momentum(nothing super significant anyways) in all likelyhood you could just tac and curle in your legs to get over something wall runs aren't all to practicale.

Well keep trying! You can only get better... Eh... not necessarily true. I was able to kong a bit when I first started, but then I lost it. Over the summer though I had a random impulse to do them at a foreign park and got them down pat. For good I hope.
