First off, the stuff you're doing for women in parkour is awesome! Thanks for all your hard work!

As to the breast issue, mine usually get sore as well, and I usually take some ibuprofen or midol and a hot shower. Was your issue the size or the soreness?

I've never had any soreness from doing alot of running, then again I'm not that big. But wearing two sports bras usually helps more than enough, even for my mother who is sort of big.

I'm thinking breasts won't be an issue with kongs et al because by the time your legs are through in the tuck you should be starting to bring yourself upright; but I could be wrong. My guess is that if you are okay with being in a tucked/squat position (or something like child's pose in yoga), a kong should be fine.

I have a teeny chest, but once a month I get what I call "real woman boobs," and the past few years they have gotten so uncomfortable I usually end up wearing a sports bra day and night during that time. Even then it hurts to walk. Any suggestions for how to mitigate this (besides reducing salt intake)?

Just dealing with this for a few days a month is crappy enough. I don't know how you ladies with "real woman breasts" handle it 24/7... and practice parkour to boot!

Caffeine can make that worse... you could try getting off caffeine a few days before that time of the month.
and don't indulge cravings... for some reason one craves things that will make it worse! (chocolate, haha)

YMMV though. Everyone's a little different. If it were me I'd probably try a homeopathic.

im medium i guess haha not big but not teeny tiny heh i just wear a regular bra with a tank or a stretchy spaghetti strap im always fixing my shirt tho haha

but i want to see if any other girls have issues with carrying their belongings when they train? i live in the dorms so i have to carry around my dorm key, also i like to take my ipod when i train so this is how i do,
my dorm key is on a small chain-like keychain so i hook it on to the middle of my bra and it just hangs under my shirt. or tie it to my shoelace, but it bounces too much sometimes. i wrap my earbud cord around my neck once and then stuff my ipod down the side of my bra under the strap but when i cartwheel, handstand or vault, it usually falls out and goes flying haha

any cheap ideas to help this? i am thinking about buying a backpack.. it might solve all my problems haha but just wondering how you other females train

As bad as it might sound, sometimes if I'm going out for a run or some short training where I really need my hands, I'll put my cell phone in a plastic ziploc snackbag and put that bag in my bra. Like I said, horrible, but it works sometimes. I use a sort of sturdy tote bag/purse when I train for longer periods of time or with friends. I just sort of keep my eye on it while I train. It seems to work, no issues so far.
Also, if you have access to a car or something while training, you can store your stuff there (particularly if it's a friend's car, then you don't have to worry about the keys

).

Well, it's a small bag; I have a small phone (and um...ample area in my bra to store it...) *cough cough.
Anyway, I guess the best thing to do would be to get some kind of actual bag then, like a backpack or such.
Or have friends come and watch your stuff (and watch you) while you practice.

Personally, I'm looking for some good cargo pants to put my stuff in. But I used a daypack today attending a jam, and that was OK.

Military issue BDU pants are the most amazing things i have worn for training. All my belongings fit into the cargo pockets at the lower thigh so there is no restrictive movment. The ones I wear, the cargo pocket can expand twice its size. So they are awsome for carrying phone, keys...etc...

Yeah BDUs are great; you can find them at army surplus stores. Cargo pants are awesome too; I bought a great pair at REI, they are the REI brand ones and they were kind of expensive but they can take a ton of punishment and I consider those pants to be money well-spent. They are breathable, cool in summer/warm when it's cold out, tons of pockets, durable, and the legs zip off into shorts. They also air-dry in like 10 minutes which is awesome if you get caught in the rain.

I also have two pairs of the APK capris which are excellent too, what with all the pockets. Their full-length cargo pants are good too but sadly are too long for me.

i feel uncomfortable parkouring in baggy pants the only ones are baggy sweatpants but otherwise it feels like its weighting me down somehow :s so shorts work for me they just have no pockets

Sometimes, if I have a lot of stuff to keep track of, I'll wear the drawstring bag on my back. And to eliminate it bouncing around, I'll take some tape and tape the bag around my waist. If I just havea house key or something, it goes in my shoe.

PS: Any guy reading this threat about stuffing things in your bra has got to be dying on the floor laughing right now, haha.

I used to stuff things down my bra.. I ended up spending too much time with my hands down my shirt in public trying to rearrange everything

I got an armband for my Sansa (mp3 player) and it was $10 very well spent. I never realized how much time i spent worrying about it until I didn't have to worry about it.

When I train with a group of people, I bring a drawstring backpack that we all throw our keys, phones, a hoodie, water, etc in and we take turns carrying it. It doesn't stay on your body that closely but it's light.

I was training with a guy yesterday who had a little wrist pouch (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=com.ubuntu:en-US:official&hs=ace&q=wrist+pouch&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=LszcStP5OYKwNsXa4NUH&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CCkQsAQwAw) for his stuff. It looked like an awesome idea.

A couple of times I've come across running shorts that have a tiny hidden pocket with a zipper in the back, up by the waistband. There are a few shirts out there that do too.

Clothes that were specifically designed for athletics can get a bit pricey, but right now is an awesome time to buy summer gear, b/c it's all on clearance...

I have a pair of bright yellow shorts (don't hate) that have a little tiny pocket inside the shorts. unfortunately, it lacks a zipper and can't hold very much. A lot of running shirts/jackets have breast pockets, though.
