I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

I was a little nervous when we were told we couldn't move around the city and had to stick with the stones. But now that it's after the fact I see how well we exhibited pk for what it is. We found so many different paths through such a simple and abstract setting. We flew, we rolled, we slid! On sunday we showed the city of Madison true, pure Parkour.

The whole thing went just great! Thanks to chicago crew for helping us look good and thanks to mynkx for bringing his puppy Achilles (kitty)! Great idea considering we were by all the kids activities for the event!

First a shout out to Grip, man you tore it up! I've got some fantastic shots of you defying gravity!

Second, Counsel! I'm the guy who took the pictures you want. I won't be able to get them to you till tomorrow as the camera actually belonged to my mother. She's going to give me a cd with all the pics tomorrow. I'll pass the requested photos on to you and later I can send any other pics you'll need. Same to Muse, I'll give you a copy of the cd so you can pick the shots you like. Oh and we are DEFINITELY trying for pic of the week with those synched vaults. Might I add that two people with practically no history were able to effectively trust each other with such precise and powerful movements. Where else but pk?

As a interesting side note, earlier today I took a few of my friends over to the stones. They wanted to check out the spot after me and Cody spent the whole day talking about the jam. We warmed up, got to jumping and within minutes we had a crowd almost as big as at the jam itself! Word's getting around, people know what we're up to.

So finishing off my... Rant lol. Great job everybody! Sunday was proof that no matter what the obstacle, we will overcome! We are Parkour!

edit: just got this in the email, it's a thumbnail, full size is HUGE

First off thanks to the chi town guys. thanks for coming up to jam.   Sunday for me  opened up my eyes to a lot of things at the stones as it did for so many people.  like quiz said the amount of people that were just watching yesterday was amazing they were fascinated.

anyway like i said you Chicago guys are sick  we need to jam again.

I can't seem to login to the photo gallery. Is it the same login as the forums or do I have to register somewhere?

I think you have to go here (http://gallery.menalto.com/) and create a user account.  I'm not sure though, and unfortunately don't have the time to try it out.

Are you talking about the APK photo gallery? Let me take a look.

Thank you sooooo much to everyone who came out!!! It was truly an awesome awesome day. :D Sorry it's taken me so long to weigh in on this but I had my first week of school last week and it was pretty brutal (I don't have a lunch in my schedule this year, and I'm in 4 different classrooms in 2 different schools, so... yeah).

Anyhow, I love the pictures and look forward to seeing them! Thanks again to everyone who came out, who helped spread the positive vibe, and took/posted pictures. :D

I hope this can be an annual thing. The city of Madison is talking about holding a RtD every year; it would be great if that happened and if we could participate!
She followed slowly, taking a long time,
as though there were some obstacle in the way;
and yet: as though, once it was overcome,
she would be beyond all walking, and would fly.

Oh, PS: Marquiz... do you have pics yet? I'd like to submit a couple to M2 along with my writeup of the event. Let me know. :)

And also who do I credit for the photo? I am sending him the kong one that's thumbnailed in this thread. Ty!

Yeah sorry I've been so flaky on this. Very busy, lazy, and... Well lazy.

I'll get around to calling you and getting your adress and I'll get those dvds in the mail pronto.
