Yeah. I'm glad he's back! I would say 95% of the the people here aren't here to bash you, but here to help. As for classes, search around in your area. Maybe facebook it or google it. If there isn't an established community where you live. Y not take a leadership role and make one? An established community helps a lot. In Calgary we have a nice community that has grown to have about 20 ish or 30 ish committed members.

But where do you go for classes?

Depends on where you live.  Try APK's local boards to find other people near you.  There may be groups training that are willing to show you what they know, or there may be an established formal class that one must pay for.  Some Crossfit affiliates have classes, some gyms, sometimes other places.  There's at least 4 different spots for classes out where I'm at in the Bay Area.

Dude that's awesome. I live about 4 hours away. Next time I'm up there we should jam. If I am good enough...

Rad!!!  It's a plan.  Where do you live?  I'm in Santa Rosa, about 1 hr. north of SF.  Once a month people from all over Northern California get together for SFPK's Monthly Jam.  People come from Sonora, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, and us Santa Rosa folk are the northernmost group.  It'll be cool to meet you.  Click the link in my sig and you'll be magically whisked away to SFPK!

But only 2 hours away from Sacramento!  There's a huge group of some of my best friends out there who can and will teach you.  They train hard and the more experienced guys have been at it a couple years.  I make the 2 hour drive to train with them fairly often myself.

They organize their training sessions in this thread on SFPK.

Beretta, I am making plans to go down for Augusts monthly jam. Hopefully I can get the money in time to go down. Clinton can't make it. He actually has some freshman thing to do. I am glad I am a sophomore now. But yeah... It's also his birthday that week. But yeah my dad would probably take me down and just go to like a giants game while I am gone. It should be fun

Awesome, I'll see you in August then Trevor!

Hate to randomly jump in but, I am moving to Emeryville CA in September.

Cool, check out SFPK and meet up with people when you get here!  The East Bay has tons of great spots.  UC Berkeley has plenty of awesome to go around: great urban stuff like you'd expect at a large uni and a whole bunch of incredible trees and creeks and stuff.  There's one tree spot where you can go from tree to tree, like six trees in a row (dense, low trees), then turn around and go back to the first tree, this time on a second level above the first route you took.

So much fun.

Right now it's tentatively listed as August 16th in San Francisco (we rotate locations throughout Northern Califronia, October is Sacramento, so you better there for that one!).  However sometimes the date changes due to schedules of other events, or the jam hosts.  I'll try to get the date confirmed soon and let you know where it will be.

Sweet and you will DEFINITELY see me there October. It's only 2 hours away... (one with my dad driving :P)

If it is the 16th I'll end up showing on the 15th and staying till the 17th. And also Clinton can go then.
