HIPK BBQ-Jam

Had a great time at the BBQ, there was a really good turn-out. I got to meet some people who I've never seen before and talk to people who I've never really talked to.

Workout: ~60 minutes
  shoulders
  squats
  jumps
  pushups
  cardio
  etc.

Played on the vaulting box, and did a bunch of precisions onto the boxes and rails.  Helped my dad to do really basic precisions and safety vault. It stokes me out that he came and tried his best. I think he did very well.

Consumed a lot of food... which made me tired and heavy.

The flips started, I can't really do flips to well, so I did some palm spins and started to tree Pk. Tree PK is fantastic, its a challenge because no two trees are the same and it makes me feel like a kid.  Grin I think I might make a vid of it.

I had a great time.

Played around some more

Moved across the street to the Gold Bond Bldg
  gap jumps
  cat to 1.5in ledge
  mini flow

Training at Manoa Park

Warm up
  Capoeira: 20minutes

I've started to teach my jiujitsu mentor parkour. It makes me happy to be teaching my teacher. We   basically started with vaults then moved through to tic tacs, then cats, then precisions. It was a light training session, but I managed to squeeze a bunch of stuff and some flow in when he was practicing: 1hr

I showed him QMs last time we trained and he got really stoked and has been doing them as a warm up ever since

Moved to the grass
Worked on energy drills and takedowns: 1hr

Went to Hobron Court.

I was in the area for business, so I decided to pop in and do a little training. I started with a look around, then warmed up with some turn vaults because the rails I was going to go over are taller then I'm use to.

Tried a few runs at the place from one end to the other.  I got some really funny looks from passerbys and this one bum seemed pretty entertained. I was feeling all lethargic and slow so I decided to stop and look for opportunities for the next time I go down there.

Sprinting
  1 mile

I’ve been working on abs/core, found a good way to work them out in the office, kitchen, workroom, etc.
*sit on desk, table, counter, etc.
*put hands on edge and lift butt off surface
  * brings legs up either with knees bent or straight
  * try to shift weight while kinda leaning back so butt is over edge of surface
  * using your core swing your legs from side to side or in a small controlled circle then in reverse
I just hold it as long as I can

Chainsaw work
Used a chainsaw to clear brush: weight 15 lbs x 6 hours

Brush and limb removal
Carried logs weighing up to 60 lbs and threw them into a chipper x 2.5 hours

I'm f***ing tired today, and my hands are still shaking.

I went with Ozzi to a place that he found downtown to do some scaffolding flow/play. It was a lot of fun; I really like the whole aspect of swinging and climbing that a scaffolding has to offer. It reminds me of tree climbing. Worked some underbarish techniques, but just mostly tried to find flow. It was a great learning experience and it makes me want to get a hold of some scaffolding for personal use, though I don't know where I'd set it up. We also got the attention of a few people that were walking by, some of them were cool and said things like "gymnastics?" then there was this one guy who told us "you guys should leave...like right now!" then he called the police but we had already went back in, finished training and moved on. Worked on some cranes while Ozzie did some kongs. When the officer arrived, he was cool and basically just said "you guys can't do that kind of stuff here." So we left without any problems.

My hands and arms are still sore from all the swinging, the calluses that were completely ripped off and bleeding are healing up nice and should come back twice as strong. As for the sore muscles... I love that pain.

HIPK Jam @ UH

The jam went very well. We did a good little warm-up and started with some basic vaults. After that we worked wall-ups w/ muscle-up, cat traverse, landings, and rolls.

We moved around a lot, basically just walked around campus playing at various areas. We worked a little QM gauntlet, did some tree work, and some rail play

Ended up at the Stan Sheriff Center
  Played add-ons
Did cat traverse to muscle-up, cat traverse to muscle-up all the way up the side of the stairs. I did the   whole thing 3 times, as for the last time I couldn't finish the very last section because I was getting really tired and I just happened to look down and realize how f-in high we were. Boo on mental intimidation.

Cooled down and stretched out

All in all, everyone preformed very well, and I am happy to say that this jam was a success.

PK class at CF

It was the first class at CF again, it looks to be a really good crowd and is going to  be a lot of fun.

Warm-up
Jumped around in place and got the heart a pumpin

Work-out
Lots of upper body and pushups.  The wrist started to hurt so I had to take it easy on it for a little while.
Worked some core stuff while resting wrist.
We mostly just worked out for the entire class as is customary all of the first PK class classes.

Cool down
  Stretched out

Did a few laches and a few wall spins
