ASO's training log
« on: May 24, 2011, 11:03:10 AM »
Hello, Skye here. I'm opening this thread to record my stats, training, progress, fails, and other stuff.
I figured why keep this stuff to myself, when i could be getting feedback from the community as well as another reason to keep progressing and keep my motivation levels up. As well as to hold me more accountable for keeping up training. If i tell you guys what I'm going to be doing, then I'm more obligated to do it.

I am going to start doing video logs as well with this. That way instead of just typing stuff i did (which i could always fake >.>) I can show you and talk about it as well. One of my goals is reducing my BF% and through vlogs, I can see my own progress and show my progress as well.

I started weight training about a month ago with my dad and have really progressed with my strength goals. I fell really good and since starting "serious" training, (be it lifting or parkour) I fell much better. I have also changed my eating habits a lot, so not only am i helping my body. But i am also feeling more energized and less tired throughout the day.

So, well here it is. My log. Comments are welcome.

Goals:

  • Do 1 pull up, no assist
  • Preform 1 complete muscle up. proper form.
  • Bench press 100
  • leg press 500
  • preform 20 push up no rest
  • precision 7ft
  • loose weight in fat. (dont care if i gain weight. i just want to loose fat)
  • smooth kong vault

Were i currently am today with my goals:

pull up machine 10 pullups -70 from my BW
muscle up... hahahaha...
Bench press: 75lbs
leg press at 450lbs
push ups at 7
precisions at 5 feet. (want to work on adding the extra 2ft)
Not sure what i weight currently, but since starting lifting and more serious training of parkour I've lost 2 1/2 inches around my waist.
kongs are WIP
ME:  "I'm a graphic artist."
HIM: "whats that? What do you do?"
ME:   "well actually it can be pretty hard, i have to  code and..." (getting all technical with my words on what i do."
HIM:  "blank Stare"
ME: "I make pretty pictures..."

Worked on vaults on a picnic bench did pretty well. still working on my kong vaults. Im getting close. Did push ups throughout the day, as well as chair assisted pull ups.

I know its been a little while since i posted :/

I've been doing some moderate training the past week. Haven't been feeling the best, and the heat is horrible. I almost had a sun stroke and my dad was rushed to the emergency room for a really bad asthma attack. Its been 103 without the heat index with 70% humidity, and we are in a drought which means dust every where So I've been kicking it indoors and going outside early morning and late late evenings. I've been keeping my diet up, and I'm going work out later. Will post stats later.

Just came back from working out with my dad. (he used to BB and lift so he helps me, kinda like my personal trainer.)

Bench press 85lbs, 3 sets, between 8-5 reps (started high, went down)
Flys 1 set (finisher) 75lbs 5 reps
Shoulder press 65lbs 2 sets, 7 reps, then 6 reps.
Tri-downs 35lbs 2 sets, 6 reps
Pull-downs 85lbs drop to 70lbs, 3 sets, 7 reps  (alternating in front and behind neck. like 1front, 1neck, 1 front, 1 neck)
Rows 1 set (finisher) 75lbs 8 reps, good form
Bicep curls 2 sets, 35lbs, drop to 25lbs, 8 reps

rest

Leg press 2 sets 465lbs (im increasing :) )
(left due to dad starting to feel it)
