Nike Dart VI's, my personal favorite.
Fit:
Easy to wear. No hard plastic on the top of the shoes making this a realy comfortable feel
when walking. Nothing digging into your toes. It is surely a comfortable and soft shoe to wear,
and the sizing I wear is 10 1/2 which is about true on the majority of my other shoes as well.
Flexibility:
Just right. Not too tight and not too loose. No hinderance anywhere.
Weight:
Very light. There is no extra energy spent on running in these shoes. You really cannot feel
any weight on your feet. 11 oz. in all.
Grip:
Unfailing. Trustworthy. Go ahead and throw all your confidence into these shoes when running in any type of weather. I've used them in rain, snow, heat on all the common surfaces one will find outside. Marble remains, as always, a traceurs worst enemy. But on everything else I have no doubt these shoes will not falter or slip. I cannot find specifiaclly the name of the rubber. I have noticed that the more I use these shoes the better the grip becomes. In summation, these shoes have amazing grip and there is no need to worry about that anymore.
Breathability:
My feet get hot FAST. Not in these. They have tight mesh material that is layered giving the perfect
combination of breathabaility and water resistance. Not telling you to go step in a pudde, however,
if you do, it will take some time before the water soaks through and reaches the sock. No over heating
problems in these shoes.
Cushioning:
These shoes have impact support in the heel. Besides that these shoes have moderate cushioning.
Your feet will remain comfortable in these shoes while walking long distances or taking many jumps throughout your training day. The cushioning is right in the midde of too much and too less.
Durability:
After 4 months with these all of the rubber is intact except for the two pieces that are slightly
coming off by my toes on one shoe. Durability is always a difficult issue to discuss because not everyone trains the same way. I would say these shoes are pretty durable. They would last, on average, 4-12 months before one really starts pushing their luck. These have the potential to
be long lasting shoes, but depending on ones training regiment they also have the potential to last
only 5 or 6 months.
Price:
50.00$ at footlocker.com, nextag.com. I once found a pair on sale at Famous Footwear for 45.00$.
Comments:
"The Nike Dart VI running shoe features a fast design for the fast runner. Breathable mesh with with a midfoot overlay adds support. TPU overlay in the forefoot offers support. Phylon™ midsole with impact groove in the heel provides a smooth landing. Waffle® pattern outsole delivers great traction. Wt. 11.0 oz. "
The laces are easy to tie and stay in place. The tongue slips easily to the side of the shoe but one cannot feel this and it is not a hinderance by any means. Soft rubber that is non-marking! Very light. Very grippy. Durable and breathable. Relatively cheap and affordable for their lifespan and other benefits. No hard plastic will be found on these shoes. They are very quiet shoes. My personal favorite.
Negatives:
No arch support.
Tongue can easily slip out of place.
