How we used this at HIpk:

If you're going way off topic, we tell you "Take it to Crazy Talk".
If you've decided to write all your posts in 5-7-5 haiku, "Take it to Crazy Talk".
If you're trying to see how much you can type in one breath without stopping - like you're holding your breath and typing really fast and making mistakes and not caring about punctuation or spelling or anything except not passing out, "Take it to Crazy Talk".

Don't take it personal. I spend way too much time here myself.

Just applied at a security company. Do you think they're going to Google me? [yes] Do you think they'll find my log? [yes]. Do you think they'll see the bits about jumping the shopping complex they guard? [probably].

So... do I delete some of my older log entries, the whole thing, or not worry about it? Your opinions?

On the good hand, I know the back side of their property like few other people, including people who work there. On the other good hand, it's been quite a while since I've jumped there.

I say they can only see that as a good thing for they know you will be able to "guard" the property well as you are familiar with it (getting to places before others etc). Also, your skills can be seen as a positive thing, for they "know" there will be no one able to scape you.

Replaying super quick, so no much thought into this but will give you my thoughts later.

I'm looking for afternoon/ evening/ night work. At least at this property, the rent-a-cops get to be outside, walking around. If I had to sit at a desk staring at monitors for 8 hours, I would be fired within the first week, for falling asleep.

I find it practical and yes, it safes me from having to be at two forums. It just seems as if the activity is lots slower. Not sure everyone made the transition.

Ryan's increased the amount of posting he does. I've tried. Ben, Matt and JC are posting... Ozzi, of course...
It's weird - I know there are more people at APK, but I almost feel lonely. Why? Life stress. People posting less. I need a good day of training.

Today was better - got mail from Pilou from DC... He's translated more of Hebert's "Practical Guide", and has put in a lot of what I worked on. I'm still waiting for BionicGrape from New England PK... he signed the book out of Harvard Library. He was going to scan the missing theory pages for me.

I don't miss the spam, especially the porn spam, or having to clear out all the spam-bots. I do miss Evan, Johnny, Shiloh, Sala, ... people who posted a lot at HIpk, and aren't posting here. (Or anywhere PK related.)

What I'd suggest is everyone post at least a couple times a week in Talk Story or Crazy Talk. That may help this forum feel more like home again. Just an idea...

Yeah, it does feel lonely. HIpk is such a young community but still out there, just not as committed to the ohana feeling as many other bigger communities. Which is kinda sad, cuz being such a small islands we could get closer even easier.

Gregg, it is my goal to plan a Maui trip next year to train with you. Maybe if the whole National Jam comes true you can make it over here.

When you come, we HAVE to hit Iao. Take a look at Tim and Tom's pics in the AUG 2 thread. If we can get Shiloh out, will be even better.

I think we've had ohana feeling at times. I'm feeling a LOT better now.

National Jam... seeing the vids of Colorado made me realize how SLOW my progression is. When I try to rush it, I get hurt. So I'm going to keep on pressing on with MN inspired stuff. I keep seeing progress there, and I know there's still room for improvement.

Swim to Oahu... I know it's possible. I don't really want to do it. If it becomes a reality, I'll look for cheap tickets.

It's not that close. 100 miles of mostly open ocean. There was a boat, but it was more expensive than taking plane. It doesn't run any more. Planes run pretty frequent between Maui and Oahu. If there's a national jam, I'll try to find some way to save up some money.

Every once in a while I do a "FAST" of the forums. "Post only as much as I could type in one breath", "write all my posts in haiku", "go cold turkey for a month or two at a time"...

I'm going to post only once a day, in Crazy Talk, for the rest of this week. If anyone can think of a short, creative challenge for next week, let me know, or I will do something mind-bogglingly terrifying...
