There's an interesting discussion going on in "Indiana" about Methode Naturelle v. weights. Since you guys do a combination, feel free to jump in with your ideas what the best mix or combination is.

OMG.....I did 5x5 overhead squats today at weights of 35, 40, 45, 50, and 50 and I want to die. I had never even seen an overhead squat before today at CrossFit. I now have a pulled groin muscle and an intimate knowledge of just how tight my lats really are. I think
I'm going to be working on this one for awhile.....

I kinda feel like a wuss too crying about such light weights....but wow

"Beauty" of CrossFit - there are enough different exercises that you won't see overhead squat for a while, but you'll get stronger [after you heal from pulled groin]. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Its more of a flexiblility issue for me than strength. I can push a lot more than 50# over my head. But I cann't go down into a squat with out my arms coming forward, so I hurt myself with bad form.

Guys set your DVR, TIVOS to record the Pethui show. OC16 if we are lucky they will play it again. Dont want to spoil it, just watch it.
Here are the showings.

If you have a DVR of any kind, set it to record the show on channel 16 "on this channel at anytime" option.

If we get lucky and they play it again, I am sure you will enjoy it. I even added the so traditional HIpk Ozzish "unmistakable change on the meaning on a word due to mispronunciation" if you have been part of HIpk for a while you know what I am talking about. Otherwise you will know sooner or later anyway.

Once you see the show, let me know what you think.

Missed it. Had good training, tho. Very cool that they're flying you out to Colorado. Too bad you don't live Maui - then we could go up to Haleakala, and train at 5000 - 10,000 elevation. I didn't realize highest point on Oahu was only 4003'. The Koolaus are so vertical they seem higher.

Exactly, reason why I am a bit anxious about it too, people might expect to see me doing all kind of stuff. My focus will be my parkour training, and although I will have fun with some flips and what not, most people on the mainland could teach me a thing or two about that. But again, I am focusing on how clean my PK flow and technique is at the moment. The flippy stuff, well, I will go there to learn those from the rest of the community.
