The one that was REALLY confusing was the city names. That's what they had when I started, I think. I was like "I'm not from San Francisco! I'm from Maui!" Took me a bit to understand it. I don't remember the rankings exactly - it was like SF, Denver, DC, London, Paris.

Bear progression should be:
Care Bear -> Panda [herbivore] -> Black -> ?Polar? -> Grizzly [biggest and meanest]

But they'd probably put it in Latin.

Hey thanks for the shout on the main hawaiipk page. I appreciate it, I ended up relizing that my sample slide show was only showing one image.

If any one is interested in doing a pk photo shoot send me an email. Ignore the prices on my website since im still learning how to shoot pk. I think I would charge about 8$(for all photos) or the price of lunch. IF you have a REALLY sick idea then I would prob be willing to do Time FOR Prints (photog language for free shoot.)

I saw a set of some really gnarly rails the other day. The sick part is it's in about 20' of water, and coral is starting to grow on them. I was looking for another dive site. Ever wanted to do a 1 finger rail handstand? You could do it here...

I was reading some old PkGen articles today. Dan Edwardes talked about Stealth. A good landing is a quiet landing. The more muscles you can involve in any movement, the more power and control you will have.

One of the best methods for developing your stealth, and hence your muscle control, is to practice what are affectionately known as ‘Stealth Runs’.

These are effectively uninterrupted periods of movement, over any terrain, often at night, wherein the goal is simply to move as quietly and efficiently as possible. Speed is not important here, nor particularly are aesthetics. Just move, interact with whatever comes your way, but always do it silently. If training with others, monitor each other’s noise levels, see if you can hear the one ahead and the one behind – and if someone is too loud, let them know about it with a definite ‘shush’.

The concept of a Stealth Run is not to sneak about, but rather not to draw attention to yourself. The aim is to move fluidly and in harmony with your environment, such that people simply do not notice you are there because you are not generating any stimuli that their senses might pick up on. This is a great way to train your body as well as your immediate spatial awareness, and it’s great fun too. Try it: but try it quietly.

Is this maybe the difference between good PK and good FR? One uses movement to seek not-notice, and the other screams out "Here I am! Look at me!" Something to think about, I guess.

Doesn't even have to be late, since it's getting dark around 6:30. Could even start it a little earlier, take advantage of the twilight to get to know the area first... all depends what you want to achieve.
