Hey, Austin... good to see some action on the West Side. It's been super quiet here on Maui for a long time. I don't do hardly any of the flippy stuff, but I try.

I mostly train Kihei, some Kahului/ Wailuku. Good to have you on board with us!

Hey Austin I see you follows my advice. Awesome to see you here. Would be awesome if you get your friends here too, try to hook up with Gregg for some session, might be a bit different to what you are used to but he will show you a bit on how it is done on a more rural environment.

Again, welcome, this is your Parkour/Freerunning home and you are welcome anytime you feel like stopping by.

I only ever had one security officer give me problem - Azeka Makai. He said "We don't do that kind of stuff here."

Security at Wailea Marriott asked me what I was doing. Lucky for me, I was just stretching/ preparing to film a wall up. They were very nice about it. "I'm exercising. Is there a problem?" "Nope." I had my video camera running at the time, but didn't catch this on tape.

Security at Safeway Kihei came up to me one night when I was filming pull-ups and some minor vaults on the cart return rack. They were more concerned that I had my camera on a car, and that I was loitering. They left me alone when I told them it was my car, and I was planning to shop after I finished filming. Again, the camera was running, but they were at enough of an angle that I didn't catch this on tape.

Keep in touch. I'll let you know any time I'm heading West side.

Since we are minors, they think that we are tagin or doin illegal stuff. Th guy told us if you dont have a car you cant be near the parking lot. My friend like train with you since he really like get better. jus his laptop is being gay so he hasn't loggedin yet. Can they legally call the cop if we arent in he parking lot? we were sitting on a bench facing the parking lot. and he say "this is not a waiting area, ill come back in 20 mins if you here ill call the cops" can? or no can?

ahh sweet, maui people other then gregg (not that gregg alone isn't badass).  I was beginning to think that the outer islands were basically dead.  Glad you guys joined the forum.  Check out ozzi's tutorials on moves if you need help understanding the progression of moves.  Train safely guys

lol, nope I'm oahu grown =)

if you wanna ask people about a move you've been wanting to try or having trouble getting down post your questions/ comments on here...http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php?board=2.0 the entire APK community posts here so you'll get tons of info.  Try to post pictures/vids of what you're working on so people can see what you're doing wrong/ can do to improve your technique.

Ozzi's tutorials are awesome, that's how I learned all my basic moves
http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php?topic=18672.0

Explore the site though...there's always interesting posts going up.

Hey, Glenn... glad your laptop's working.

I got myspace: http://www.myspace.com/glamse. Three months since I logged in tho.

http://www.youtube.com/user/UrbanCurrent are Ozzi's videos. Start with the basic tutorials, and go from there. You say you've been doing this for over a year. You're probably past me already. I can't be your mentor, but maybe we can help each other...

Anything to help? Ummm... work on running faster, jumping higher and longer, climbing, quad movement [hands and feet]. Lifting, carrying, throwing and catching stuff is also helpful for being in shape. Ryan says I'm badass only cuz he's never met me ;D

Without a car, getting together is rough. I'm working full time mornings 6 days a week, plus Domino's TUE, THU, SAT nights, plus guitar at King's Cathedral WED, FRI, and some SUN nights. Other work at resorts if I can get it [lately not  :'( ]

Let me see if I can work something out with my wife - probably a SUN afternoon - when I can either drive out your way or take the bus.

Maybe Oct 4? I'll ask, see if I can get either that or Oct 11.

Now that you've introduced yourself, either come to Talk Story or Crazy Talk, or the new "TRAIN MAUI" thread that I've put under Maui Hotspots. You'll see I have nothing listed for West Side hotspots. I need you guys to look around, see what places might be good, note where you've been kicked out... doesn't mean we can't try it again...

just booked my flight Nov 20-22nd, not 100% sure where I'm staying...but I just checked with sheraton and they're 75% sure they can accommodate me and my friends for free...and 100% sure I can get a hot rate $30-$50 (per night) for a normally $250-$300 room (per night).  Woot, I love the union life =).  Just gotta figure out if we gonna be cheap and use the bus or shell out an extra $80ish bucks for a rental.  Can't wait to come!!!

my cost potentially between $250- $325 for a weekend in maui

Yeah, if you can get a good room for the price of a hostel, go for it. The Sheraton is nice. Black Rock, Ka'anapali Beach... you'll probably be able to see whales swimming offshore...

Looking forward to meeting up with you.

no prob... you probably saw Shiloh's new video. I shot some video in Wailuku but it was just scouting, no jumping. My videos are Kihei/ Wailea, with a little Kahului, and some Iao.

Find some places we can jump West-side. I'm not able to get out this Sunday, but I'll keep trying.
