1. Age?
2. Why parkour?  How did you find out about us?
3. Sports/ Recreational stuff you've done/are currently doing before?
4. What do you think parkour is?
5. Where/ from whom did you first hear about parkour?
6. Ever been injured from trying to train parkour on your own?

Hey guys I only posted in a few forums and finally got the guts to post up here ^^ im a girl and very shy around new people but when im very used to you and we have bonded im the kind of friend who can never stop hanging out with you so yeah... these were Ryan's questions and i talked to him a bit...Can you guys jams and stuff around UH but on a different date like mondays, wednesdays, and fridays in afternoon? around 3pm? cause i cant do nights... anyways here is my info

my name is Jiyoung but some people who used to play video games with me called me Nos cause i never lost a game PLZ GIVE ME A NEW NICKNAME IF YOU LIKE BECAUSE I DONT REALLY LIKE MY NICKNAMES, I am korean yet people say i dont look korean but like a hawaiian local (which ironically i am), I found out about you guys while looking up how-to vids on youtube and I always wanted to learn parkour cause some tricks looks kool and i heard it makes u fit and strong :), I love to race short sprints (im not very good with long distances because of when my dad used to give me second-hand smoke w/o realizing it-until a few weeks ago), soccer-but not in school sports, baseball-with my dad, and any sport were i can kick a ball because i have a really tough kick :p, I know what parkour is because i researched and learned about it, I found out about parkour many years ago when my dad was watching videos on youtube, I forgot all about it until a few weeks ago when i remembered and decided to try train by myself but didnt know were to...thats wen i stumbled onto this awesome forum  ^^, i sprained my ankle a few times so far but only because i accidently landed funny but now I can land perfectly the way i hae to and im ok at rolls  :)    IDK  how im supposed to officially "join" HIPK but i would like to ^^  and if you have Jams or watever in the times i mentioned in the previous paragraph then i would prefer to sit and watch for the first few sessions and get to know you guys before i would join in the training and lessons...it's just my thing...

o and i might be a little self consious because im a tiny bit of tomboy...especially way i dress which is T-shirt, long jeans (not skinny), and jacket...

Well I can't even pronounce your name so how about Jiy? (said kinda like Jee when I think of how it'd be said.)

Doubtful your the biggest newb here... I would say I am but then again I guess I'm not as bad as I think I am... But everyone's good at something. Like I'm better at wall-ups then my friend is, but he beat me by a long shot in cardio. And open space is the hardest and largest obstacle for a traceur (I think I quoted Pilgrimage there.)

But yeah, once I get my grade checks (weird things to say you need for parkour o.o) I'd be willin' to train at UH. I've been itchin' to go there anyways. I would say Monday would be my best day for that... or a furlough Friday xD...

don't think anyone doing anything a UH on monday...sunday though we'll probably end 3pm or later since we spending a good half hour or whatever waiting for people to show up and an extra amount of time to sit and talk about what's happening for the national jam.

If we did this'd be a very VERY bad parkour community. After I brown nose my parents I hopefully can be there and pretty much everyone there I'd meet for the first time too. Only people I know is Ozzi, Jane (I haven't seen him on the forums at all) and Johnny, but I haven't seen him in forever either.

Welcome Andrew, we've got tons of things going on right now...since you live generally close to hawaii academy gymnastics gym I'd suggest trying to meet up with us there.  There's a open gym you can go to on fridays $5 an hour, just need to sign a waiver.  I should be down there 6pm-8pm.

here's website http://www.hawaiiacademy.com/web/About/AboutFacilities.htm

Hey guys. I'm Sean from Aiea.

I'm actually not in Hawaii right now but am currently beginning practicing parkour with a couple of friends up here in the San Francisco area. For the most part the things I've been working on is landings, rolls, grabs, and the vertical wallrun (I have lots of fun with the wallrun). I really want to keep parkour was a regular thing so I want to keep it up when I come back home during the summers.

1. 19
2. I really got interested in parkour when I saw the games Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed. But I really enjoyed doing recreational stuff when I was a kid with jungle gyms and stuff and really wanted to keep up with my fitness and health. Plus it just looks so dang cool!  ;D
3. Bowling (although many still don't consider it a sport), plus I've also had training in karate at JIKC in Pearl City, as well as some freestyle swordsmanship I took up a couple of years ago.
4. The ability to use only your own strength and your environment to maintain fitness and overcome obstacles.
5. I actually first heard about it about a year after I heard about another name and few months before that with another name (Street Gymnastics>Freerunning>Parkour). So the very first time would actually be on Discovery Channel with the superhuman body series they were running for a while. I think it was called "Human Body: Pushing the Limits."
6. The most I've had was a small bruise from my elbow bumping a concrete wall when practicing the cat grab (did I use the right term ???)

Anyways nice to meet you all.

Huh, I haven't checked on that yet. If I can get some time I'll definitely try to make it down there. But definitely would be cool to meet ya.

I just saw the video of you guys up here in SF. Most of the places you went were closer to Market Street? I'm actually at the University of San Francisco closer to the upper middle of SF. If you guys are ever up here I could show you a couple spots my friends and I go to practice, such as the Horseshoe Court in Golden Gate Park.

Welcome Jon to HIPK!!!  I don't know who lives in kaneohe, but if you have transportation into town, there's always things going on.  Could you tell us a bit more about yourself?

1.  How old?
2.  How long you been doing pk/fr?
3.  Why you go interested in the 1st place?
4.  Background in movement?  (sports, martial arts, dance, whatever)
5.  How do you train?
6.  What do you train?

Can give me a call if you wanna try meet up...I'm kind gimpped right now with a dislocated elbow.  But I can QM and do really simple vaults.  Or I could fill you in on what we got going on right now that you are wlecome to join in on.  (808-754-4800)  Just tell me you're jon from kaneohe if you call
