Due to the popularity of the "Shoe Review:" thread format, i'm creating this database of review links so that comprehensive opinions can be easily found. If you'd like to create your own review, just use the format provided (or improve on it/create your own!) and send me a PM with your thread linked. I'll add it to the thread and hopefully we'll have a comprehensive list of reviews on many popular shoes. I absolutely encourage duplicate reviews. Because of the opinionated nature of this, having as many opinions as possible can only help. We want people to be fully informed before making a purchase, so let's provide them with the tools they need to find the shoe that's right for them. EDIT: All forms of reviews are welcome, including video ones! Just submit to me whatever resource you want added and I'll look it over and add it to the list! At the time of this edit, I'm only listing shoes. Maybe once this has grown into a much more complete list I might expand it or create a new utility. Until then, keep the additions coming, this is an extremely important resource for APK (and the entire parkour community) to have! This is a broad category for comfort, how true they are to size, and anything else you can think of.
FLEXIBILITY: A very self explaining category, write about how flexible these shoes are in relation to l'art du deplacement activities.
WEIGHT: Do the shoes feel heavy, light, some where in the middle?
GRIP: Grip is a very important section, talk about how the shoes react on different surfaces. Textured, smooth, grass, etc.
BREATHABILITY: Do these shoes stay airy or do your feet feel like potatoes in the oven?
CUSHIONING: How well do these shoes absorb shock? Where is most of the padding (if any) located. Do they work well combined with the flexibility of the shoe to create an overall safe and balanced shoe?
Durability How quickly will these things wear out? Do you notice any problem areas that may come apart later on?
Price Another very straightforward section. Do you feel they are worth how much you paid for them?
GENERAL COMMENTS: Anything else you'd like to mention about the shoes?
The Bottom Line: How do you feel about these shoes? Are you happy that you purchased/obtained these shoes? Very important: If someone were considering purchasing these shoes, would you recommend them? If not, which shoes would you recommend?

Thanks to the efforts of the community, (And some serious mass-mailing!) I'm putting in a huge update. Thank you to everyone that's contributed so far and remember to write a review yourself, even (especially) if there's already a review for your pair!

If you're interested in video reviews, this guy has a number for the 5.10 FR and FR2, the Ariake LMs, and the Daescents. Just an idea. I don't agree with some of what he says but it's good to have varying opinions... +1 for organizing this btw.

I'll write my review for the Ariake Lite Mesh tomorrow.
God, I hated those shoes.

fantastic thread! i think it's good to keep in mind when reading these reviews that one traceur's shoe needs may be different from another depending on skill level, physiology, emphasized techniques, etc. i've certainly noticed changing preferences in my shoes over the years and wouldn't be surprised if others have too

:O That's a HUMONGOUS resource... perhaps you could help out by splitting them?
Somewhat defeats the purpose of indexing all of the reviews if I link them to a giant mash of all sorts of different reviews.
Maybe with the permission of the authors, you could repost them on APK. Have one thread for each type of shoe and have everyone's review for that type in the thread. Then I can just label the link as "SFPK"
Regardless though, that's some serious review-age.

FIT: These shoes are some of the best fitting I have ever owned. There is a lot of support in the arch and sole in general. They are very true to size!
FLEXIBILITY: These shoes require very little breaking in. They are extremely flexible from the get-go!
WEIGHT: The Puma Speeder-M shoes are very lightweight in my opinion. Next to not having shoes on at all if you ask me.
GRIP: The grip on these shoes are absolutely insane! Rough, smooth, dirt, grass; it just doesnt matter! The spike grips that the bottom of the shoes is made up of has insane grip on rougher surfaces while the 4 white circle grips allow you to get great grip on smooth surfaces as well!
BREATHABILITY: They are a mix between a leather variation and padded mesh. They let good air through, though, so you dont get hot feet, but they keep your feet nice and toasty in the cold!
CUSHIONING: GREAT when absorbing shock! The padding in the sole of the shoe is literally perfect. Combined with the flexibility, it is utterly amazing!
Durability So far they seem like very durable and reliable shoes! No signs of anything coming apart yet!
Price Considering I only paid $62 for them...They are worth 10 times the price that I paid for them!
GENERAL COMMENTS: I would recommend these shoes to anyone practicing Parkour or Free-Running. If anyone wants to know anything else about them, feel free to PM me or IM me on AIM. S/N is Payne2201
The Bottom Line: Amazing shoes! As I stated above, I would recommend these shoes to ANYONE!!!!
Pros: Amazing Grip on nearly all surfaces, flexible, comfortable, well padded, true to size. Cons: If anything, I would have to say the only Con is that they are low-tops. Not a fan of low-tops.
