Backflip injury involving left leg outter shin

Date of Injury- June 21
Time of injury - about 3 in the afternoon
Your DOB and age- 20
name (Anthony)
Lake havasu Arizona
7 months parkour
Hours of training per week. 20 hours parkour training,
Location where injury occurred- sand
Conditions of location- just sand
What you were doing / trying to do when injury occurred? A backflip
Where any other people involved? a spotter
Part of body  - description of injury, rating of severity 1-10. Left leg outter shin muscle 3in from ankle, I landed the backflip low and still tucked my left shin snapped down on my ankle which my foot stayed flat did not land on toes, huge popping sound couldnt walk, 8 severity off of that bat i can walk now, but i cant jog, run, jump or hold heavy pressure on left leg
Did you see a doctor for diagnosis?  no
Did you get X-rays or MRI's? no
Picture of the injury- no
Could you / how could you have avoided the injury? do it in grass or gym instead of non solid sand
Notes on the experience? dont do things your not 100% comfortable with training is much more fun than rehabilitation, take it slow you have your whole life to get better no need to rush the non important things
There is no reason to have a plan B, cause all it does is distract from plan A

Good news I finally was able to go back out today and preform at about 80% without pain this is great news for me and i havent been happier since i learned of parkour, RICE does the trick when you cant go to the doctor.!
There is no reason to have a plan B, cause all it does is distract from plan A

RICE= Rest Ice Compression and Elevation
