Saut de chat:kong:monkey
« on: November 17, 2005, 05:01:22 PM »
Saut de Chat-this movement is where you run(or dive) for the object, place both hands on the object roughly shoulder width apart, punch off(or use split foot tech or one foot) the ground with you legs and tuck you legs to your chest so they can pass in between your arms and over the object

Monkey Vault-A movement where you head straight towards object, place both hands on the object roughly shoulder width apart, punch off the ground with your legs(or use split foot or one-footed take off) and tuck your legs to your chest so they can pass in between your arms and over the object

Kong vault- A movement where you run then dive straight towards the object, place both hands on the object roughly shoulder width apart, and tuck your legs to your chest so they can pass in between your arms and over the object.....

hope this makes sense and is accurate...keep running.

;D I applaud you for that, good sir.

I will also add my own little definition for the SDC:

A movement where both the arms and legs are used to pass an obstacle in a linear, feline fashion.

The way the Lexicon is organized we need three descriptions, even if they are the same. I'll go ahead and say that "monkey" and "Kong" aren't' exactly the same, but both are a saut de chat.

your legs don't really go through your arms. if you watch the kong tutorial that someone put up, at the point where he stops the video in the beggining, his arms are already off and coming back around before his legs would be 'though', and that guy has a pretty nice kong, no denying.
