Wallflip 360 and inward sideflip (I need tips)
« on: June 02, 2009, 09:59:19 AM »
Does anybody have a good guide that can help me feel for a wallflip 360, any tutorials?

I can already do a good wallflip and sideflip.

Throw sometips at me..

maybe like foot placement and where my body should be or face in a direction? 2 foot, 1 foot, anything that helps  :)

I would suggest being able to round off back full or Standing back full, then you just pretty much get a nice high set on your wall flip (don't throw your head back) and then rotate just like a full.

Af for the inward side its all about setting up and driving with your trailing leg so you get up and away from the wall, then at your apex, wrap super tight and spot the ground.

Have you ever done back 180's, or better, back fulls? if not, i'm going to assume you know the technique. if you start the twist about when you start rotating, but quit twisting when you're close to having your back parallel to the ground, you'll never make it. same principle for wallflip 180's or 360's .  Continue your shoulder rotation as long as you can, and be certain that your hips follow, too. try to twist around as far as possible and still land the flip, even if you start going past 180. from there, try to get a feel for how much you have to turn to get 180 degrees and just experiment.

Chase does a nice 360 wallflip in the video Brothers Journey .....just search on youtube then slow the video and check chase's technique

Good luck and train safe  :)
