i think so,
does sitting on a motorcycle for 12 hours yesterday count as rest?

honestly i didnt sleep well last night or eat a sufficient amount today, so that could factor...

12 hours isn't a rest day, a whole day without strenuous activity followed by a good nights sleep is a rest day. And eating and sleeping are major factors for physical endeavors.

The OAC takes a toll. I suggest working up consistency by doing a few every other day. It's the same way for me at the moment but I don't have the full 180 up to 165ish yet.

Elet.

Take a week of rest from the OAC.  It is a grueling skill to work on.  The week off (while eating a ton) will make you more strong and you may have more consistency.

After a week off go back to working on it and attempt an OAC every 2 hours or so.  See how that goes.

Let us know!  Keep up the good work man!  I envy your new OAC ability and can only hope that i helped you to achieve it!

Elet's OAC training
July 07, 2009

Just ordered a pair of elite rings.
Broke up with my girlfriend(more time to train i guess :-\).
Haven't slept well in the past week, performance is showing signs of that.

Performed an OAC on both the left and right arms yesterday.
The left handed actually felt strong and quick, the right still is grueling and a hard pull.

Tonight i plan a good stretch then turning in pretty early.
Starting GTG again tomorrow, some sets may be with single un-asstds others up to 5 asstd OAC.

My conditioning equipment now includes a Kettlebell, resistance band, Elite rings(when they arrive), 2 cinderblocks, climbing ropes, and several dumbbells.
Time to put it all together!
Im responsible for my fitness now since i dont believe i will play soccer for my college this fall.

Hey man, yeah i remember you.
Not a problem dude, its right here: http://www.performbetter.com/detail.aspx_Q_ID_E_3889_A_CategoryID_E_358

They range from 1/2" to 2 1/2" wide bands
I bought the 1" width, the thicker it is the more resistance it has.

Still alternating single OAC's and sets of assisted's throughout the day as i remember.
Now consistent on both arms(though the bottom of the ROM from relaxed shoulders is still one hell of a pull) and will be aiming to progress to more than one repetition.
