I agree that natural tastes better. It's more.. buttery. As far as sweetness goes.. The difference between "normal" PB and natural isn't really that staggering.
Agreed. All natural peanut butter has a decent level of sweetness to it on its own.
tombb, I definitely see where you're coming from with the idea of just eating peanuts instead. I pretty much suggest that, too (the idea of eating foods as close to their natural source). It will probably fill up for less calories in the end, anyway, like eating fruit as opposed to fruit juice (even an all-natural kind).
Frito-lay sells those 2-for-1 dollar packages of peanuts at lots of gas stations/convenience stores, and they get the job done. They're just peanuts and salt, too.
As far as lunch, PB and J sandwiches are terrible choices for day-to-day lunches.
If you have those sub sandwiches option (I did at my high shcool), get one of them with all the meat you can get, loads of veggies on it, cheese [basically what you'd get on it anyway], but leave the bread off. That's what I'd do all the time.
It's technically a 'no-bread sandwich', but others will see it as a salad. Nonetheless, it's probably the best choice you have, and better than the pre-made salad options (which are mainly just useless iceberg lettuce anyway).
