The general consensus of the community is no.

Your hands provide much better grip than any glove can, and after a bit of training, your hands will toughen up and callous a bit, and things wont destroy your hands so much. Bar work in particular is a good way to callous your hands quickly.

Sometimes gloves can be good if you are training when it is very cold outside, but even then, you have to be very particular about your gloves, because I personally think that not having grippy hands can be much more dangerous than not having grippy shoes.
Life is what you make of it.

Gloves can be dangerous, your bare hands are much, much better (even if the gloves are thin).

Yea. Pretty much everyone on here will say no gloves.

The only exception allowed by most of us is women. Women should be allowed to have soft hands if they like :)

Learn how to use the word parkour and I won't.
If I can't speed vault it I can monkey vault it.
If I can't monkey vault it I can kong it.
If I can't kong it I can kash it.
If I can't kash it I can climb it.
If I can't climb it there's another way around it.

Whatever happened to 'no glove, no love'?
Honestly.
In all seriousness, I only use gloves when I'm going to be on top of metal (Florida sun has given me second degree burns via metal)

When I do parkour, I tend to not wear gloves because I'm always trying adapt and grow and expand my horizons. Actually gloves just make me feel like a pussy.
That and the one time I tried to use gloves (albeit motorcycle gloves), I had all the grip of a dead cat.  And they're supposed to grip the bike pretty well.

I always bring an old pair of modified batter's gloves with me in case I want to climb something that'll murder my palms.  I tend to avoid using them when I can, but it's just another one of those things that are good to have.  As you can see from the included pics, I've used them quite a bit.  I'm quite terrible at sewing though...

Where's a traceuse when you need one?  (I kid, I kid)

1. Unless you are a professional video game player and need your hands to earn a living, that argument is bogus.

2. Even if you are a professional video game player and need your hands to earn a living, parkour callouses should not interfere with game playing. If they do, you're doing something terribly, terribly wrong.

3. If you play a lot of video games, that's interfering with your parkour training. The time you're spending in front of the screen could be time spent outside working on rolls, landings, balance, and conditioning. Just sayin'. :)

as though there were some obstacle in the way;
and yet: as though, once it was overcome,
she would be beyond all walking, and would fly.

Coming from someone who still plays quite a few games I can attest that what he said is a silly excuse.  Be a real traceur and use your hands!

I used to play lower league MLG (yeah i was GOOD but I wasnt THAT good) for ps3 on CoD4 and I have a friend that works in the field all day that was top 10 halo 2 (toxsick or some shit like that, i never really payed attention, just saw all the money he brought in)
We both have very rough hands (that joke on here about jacking off a chainsaw comes to mind) and we did just fine.
I can personally attest that rough hands (even hurting hands) are just fine for gameplay.
Don't be scared of getting your hands rough. It will make you all the better at your art. :]

If anything, you'll appreciate it more.  Twiddling your thumbs isn't exactly great exercise... on the other hand, traversing the urban jungle is.  Roughness aside, stronger hands results in less fatigue, allowing you to further focus on the task at hand. (whether that be popping Ruskies, aliens, or what have you)

Aside from potential injuries, (which can be avoided by being extra careful) i see no way in which parkour sans gloves can be detrimental to gaming.
