Hey,

I'm new to parkour. I've never done it before at all. I lift and stuff but am not sure how to train. Other than well plyometrics but that seems really obvious. I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any classes/groups in the mentor/painesville area. I can't drive so my ability to travel is very limited.

well most people learn parkour on there own or throw other people and thoese other people learned it on there own lol theres not really many school in america yet that teach parkour i want to start a school but here are some tips to help you learn pk

http://www.urbanfreeflow.com/ is good place to you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and see a list of parkour and freerunning moves and click on them and see a vid of the move and soo you can learn from that and go and practice each one i would wright down each move in a notebook and if needed a little drawing / sekech of the move with a discription of the move it can take some time but if you really want to learn you need to pracitce everything and paractice it right sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo take your time to to wright down everything correctly wach each vid over and over to make shure! that you get all the moshions correctly also do things like practiceing a effishint combo of moves over and over and over and over

example monkey vult , to lazy vult , run up a wall , turn vult to cat off the wall and roll on the gound and do that agin and agin and agin you want to drill your self over and over on the moves be self aware of your body and what your doing and keep trying to do better more effishint moves

but you can parctice flashy moves too but even when doing flayshy moves try to do the move effishint

some other things i do is balance on rails/bars 4 20 to 40 mins strait doing one legged squats and two legged squats and walking back and forth on the rail to get good at balanceing also with that just do a bunch of sets just jumping on to the bar from the ground over and over and over agin

and with your note book you can start to right down drills that you make up soo you dont forgethem and you can parctice them agin

but another good one i like to practice is doing kong vults on the gound and trying to get farther and farther ones on flat gound it gets rid of the fear for me to do kongs on whatever i do kongs on

and with the kongs on the gound i like to put a peace of tape down on the gound every foot soo i can see how far im going and if i make improvements .

and one other thing is just waching parkour vids online and takeing notes on combos or things that they do and wright and scekch it down soo you can go out and try it

soo i hope some of thoese tips will help you on your way to learning parkour
