# years practicing Parkour / Freerunning : Less than a year
Hours of training per week. (real, not what you'd like to do) : 5 hours
Other exercise / fitness experience : martial arts , jogging and calisthenics
Location where injury occurred : city park
Conditions of location (wet, dark, icy, etc) : dry , sunny
What you were doing / trying to do when injury occurred? Turn Vault on a 7' 1/2" wall , when I turned and went into the wall crouch I lost grip and fell on my back.
Where any other people involved? No
Part of body  - description of injury, rating of severity 1-10. : Fractured scaphoid bone on right hand and a little piece of glass punctured the palm of my hand
Did you see a doctor for diagnosis? yes
Did you get X-rays or MRI's? yes and surgery is needed.

Could you / how could you have avoided the injury? By respecting my limits and drilling my wall crouch grip properly before attempting it on a high drop

Notes on the experience? Helped me realize to take things slow and prepare properly
