Yeah, it's normal to experience muscle pain and fatigue as many others have said.  But if it's not that, you might wanna take a good look at your landings/rolls.  Although these are basic elements of parkour, they are completely vital.  Try landing totally silent, and you can also try barefoot training too to soften up your landings.  Be safe!!!

ever since i started training a lot my shins have never been the same. the hurt every land, every run, all the time!

You ought to have that checked out, it could be shin splints or some other thing wrong with your shins.

my legs. i have been doing parkour for about a week and a half and i was training with a friend practicing and exercising. and the next day when i woke up i could barely walk up my stairs. well i would like to know ways to prevent this in the future so i can prevent muscle soreness. Any help is appreciated

Just work through it. Keep training, but don't overdo it. When you first start Parkour, you put a lot of strain and pressure on your legs. They'll be sore for a few days, but then it gets better, and your legs will get stronger.

I had it too the first few days of my Parkour career.

no i am saving big jumps and vaults until i know what i am doing
I don't know why nobody has caught this and said anything.

Parkour is not about jumping from height. If that is all you care then you should really start reading philosophy of parkour before you even think about training anything. Without right mind anything you do is hardly parkour even if you're following the movements perfectly well.

Also PK Gens suggest that you shouldn't jump off from any height for at least a year of training. It is pointless and it only hurts your body.

people here actually suggest not doing big jumps. (like off a house)
now people do, but it messes your knees up.

I'm actually quite surprised that there are people who would dare suggest jumping off from height to a beginner. I don't think anybody condones the act of jumping from height but they can't force you not to do it because if you're really set on jumping from height then there is nothing we can do. Only thing we can do is to tell you to be safe and how to be safe.
You get used to it.

If you've been doing lots and lots of squats that could make your leg muscles sore.  ;)
