I'm joining the Marines just for the training, but I'm in college majoring in professional aviation. As a pilot, I really cannot do a lot with PK except try and not miss my flight. :P

If I could I would love to be a field agent for the FBI, but we will just see where it all goes...

And whoever said they wanted to open a parkour gym, lets talk. I wanna help you because I want to start one too and it'll be easier having a co-founder pay for half.

+1 more co founder =P

Im thinking of trying to become a stunt man, or maybe act in action movies/scenes. It would be a dream job to spend my life doing parkour/martial arts as my job. And i love making movies so it would be perfect.

Hired.

Depends on where you live... we don't yet know where we want it...  We, honestly it is plausible if we are dedicated (Which we are), have a plan to build a Gym, then expand with Apartments and eventually create a 2 block "City" specifically for Parkour... and, even though it sounds ridiculous, we can actually pull this off...  we will have the money since most of the Team is going into the the Navy (Getting paid and not being able to use it, they are going to be wiring it back to the manager of the project{Whoever of the team stays behind} as he/she needs it in order to pay for the stuff...)  Think about it, at least 5 people in the Navy feeding nearly all of their money into this project...  that is a good bit of resources...

But yea... we are going to start with a Gym, then expand outwards as the resources accumulate...

But first off, we are working with Park and Recs to construct an "Adult Fitness" Park (with Parkour in mind) as a legal place to practice Parkour... and that is already a done deal (Basically) but mainly, we need Grants (Or SOME kind of money)...

As of right now, I'm a dancer (ballet, jazz, hip hop, contortion, aerialist). I'm rehearsing for a show at my aerial studio right now, where we've got this huge "bird cage" that we get to climb around in and stuff, and I can honestly say that doing all the rail work and stuff for parkour has helped me come up with new ideas for choreography in our contraption, and has helped me with flow working in it.

As far as future careers, I would really love to become a stuntman (I guess technically I'd be a stunt-woman. lol) in which case I'm sure I'd use parkour a lot.

Another career I've been considering was to get a fire science degree and become a firefighter (I could use parkour to get in and out of burning buildings and save lives, how epic would that be?!?!)

Sorry I totally skimmed this thread >.<

I think parkour would definitly come in handy and it's cool that the whole firefighter thing runs in DB's family.

stunt man/woman has come up a few times, but i am just curious how one goes about getting to that point (like training, classes to take, the process of becoming a stunt person).

I know you need to have a lot of physical training to be a stunt person. I don't think they require you to take certain classes, but I know most stunt people have a background in the martial arts and are very skilled at karate, jujitsu, kung fu, etc. A lot of stunt people are also involved in gymnastics for obvious reasons. I would say, if you are looking to seriously be a stunt person then get good at parkour, martial arts, gymnastics, maybe learn boxing or street fighting. Know combat methods and get good at those. Then either contact a movie studio or move to Hollywood and hang around movie sets doing parkour ;).

I was thinking we could start a mail service for in city PRIVATE mail. Like in new york and big cities. As the american public hears more and more about wire tapping and loses trust in the government I bet they would pay for MORE private mail services. We could be untrackable.
