So here's the thought; and if enough people like it then we make it happen.

Eli, and Chad are planning on leaving over the summer (others may be as well, but I don't know if and who they are). So we do sort of a send off BBQ (By BBQ I mean burgers and things, maybe ribs, not the true sense of the word) after one of our Saturday sessions. It's 12:00-1:00, the perfect time for lunch. I know Drury has a bunch of grills over in college park, and I have one we can use if Drury doesn't work for people.

Thoughts?

I've been wanting to come down for a weekend for a while now. I could sure use the "vacation," too.

Just let me know as soon as possible when the BBQ is, since the earlier I can rent a car, the cheaper it will be.

The 8th and 9th of May might be the best weekend for me. It will be the weekend before finals week, and I'm going to have to leave the next weekend to work in Colorado for the summer. The only problem I can see is that this will also be F^3 (F*** Finals Friday), and the grills we would be using at Drury would be in College Park, where the action is.

We could always find grills in a park somewhere, which might actually be more fun. Sequiota is a really cool park with some potential nature parkour options, and then we could carpool to Founder's whenever we want.

i too have a grill we could use. also there's a park by the nature center (Memorial Park?) that has grills..i like Eli's idea of Sequiota though

I know I'm not local, but I could only come Saturday the 9th, then. Would it be possible to have a place to crash that night and leave Sunday?

We were not able to get the park. Fear not though, for we are unrelenting. One of us has a grill, another has a truck, we are mobile. There will be parkour, there will be meat, and it will be fantastic.

Does anyone have any special skills that they can bring to the table...er...grill?

I remember Phlip here in town said he was quite the griller. I think I'm more concerned about getting another grill on hand than I am about getting more grillERS. I'm sure one of us has one we could use, though, so no worries.

Just so everyone is on the same page, we're planning on having the BBQ next Saturday, May 9th, at noon at Ritter Springs park. I believe we can meet at the parking garage next to Founders at 11:30ish, and carpool out there. After we traipse around Ritter Springs for a few hours, we can come back to Founders to play around. If you plan on coming, could you post here so we can get a head count? Thanks!
