help needed in aurora area
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:16:29 AM »
My name is Katie and I would love to meet somebody in Aurora area(near Overland High School)
A couple months ago I wanted to sign up for parkour classes in gym rikki but lacrosse practice started and I just didn't have time for anything else (lacrosse is still going but only for two more weeks)
I checked yesterday parkour website and it looks like there is no parkour classes at gym rikki  any more :'( the closest one is on Lawrence St. which is like thirty minutes away (driving):'( :'( :'( maybe I'll take those classes but only at the end of the summer break when I'll come back from Russia, which is like in august.....but it is only maybe  :'( because it is so far
if there is anyone who lives somewhere near Overland High School and would love to meet and hang out and teach a beginner)))that would be amazing!
thank you)

The parkour classes at Gym Riki haven't stopped, they've moved to Ryan Ford's new gym, APEX movement. They open officially Saturday the 11th, and they've already been doing classes there from what I hear. you can check out the coloradoparkour.com website for details.

Hey Katie!

Hah, you know? I'm a beginner myself, and I actually live just a mile or two from Overland. I can meet you at the park most any day-I'm on spring break.

Send me a tell, chica. I may not know kongs or anything fancy, but I can teach you the basic basics. :)
My wedding anniversary is the same weekend as the CO National Jam.
This makes me very sad, and if I didn't already have everything booked, it'd be a hard decision.

Chris Eddington: I did check coloradoparkour.com and I clicked on the classes link and there were two pragrams: Denver and Boulder, and Denver one is on Lawrence St. and I already said about that....it would of been better if I had a car, I wouldn't mind driving that far, but I don't have a car, so yep. I probably need to call gym rikki to make sure.

Liset Reep:  ;DThat would be great! I have lacrosse practice today from one to three and I'll give you a call right when I get home 8)

Thank you guys for replying! :)

I live quite a ways away from Overland so I don't think I'd be able to jam any time soon....plus all this damn snow. >:(. Anyway, tell me how Russia is when you're back. I have been wanting to go there for a while it's just too expensive. It's also really nice to see more and more women getting into parkour. Good luck and keep it up!

Sat Santokh I was about to call gym rikki to find out if parkour classes still available there....but I just visited their website and I couldn't find any parkour posts like it was a couple months ago so I guess there is no need to call any more :)

Poptart You are right! It is too expensive! But I haven't been there since I came here :'( so it's been three years!actually almost three and a half....I'll definitely tell you everything about it!I bet it changed a lot....what part of Russia are you from?
After I'm done with lacrosse, which is in two weeks, we can probably figure out a place to meet up so it wouldn't be too far for you or too far for me:) I woudn't mind riding RTD

Oh, I've actually never been to Russia. I just think it sounds like a very interesting place to go to. I know a few people from Ukraine and they loved visiting Moscow and such.

Anyway, I live south of you if you are by Overland. If you'd like to discuss a place, hit me up in an e-mail. It's on my profile. That would be cool, thanks.
