Ahoy!
« on: November 09, 2005, 08:36:21 PM »
Welcome to ye old Maryland section of these American Parkour forums. Apparently I'm moderating :p

For anyone who doesn't know, I'll be finishing my senior year here at McDaniel College in Westminster Maryland. When I'm not at college, I'm at home in Rockville, MD, closer to the DC and VA borders. Once I graduate in spring of 2006 I'll be back in Rockville and closer to a lot of the action! I look forward to meeting anyone who is new to these forums, and meeting all those old chaps again as usual. May we all leap, jump, bound, be merry, and occasionally invade DC and VA!

As far as local sites for maryland go there's always VA-Parkour. [ignore the VA bit :p]
If anyone has any others lemme know!

Hey man! The VA/MD/DC group get together and train all the time. It's slowing down a bit now that it's becoming winter, but that doesn't stop us totally. Keep an eye on the VA-Parkour forums for more stuff :]

Hey there, this is shiroboi from MD.  I live in Reisterstown (western Baltimore suburbs) but I work in Columbia.  I'm in horrible shape right now weight wise so I'm training to try to lose some weight and gain some strength before I can really start doing parkour but I'm on the path.  Nice to meet you all.

There isn't the kind of variety in Charles Co. (I used to live there) for PK practice that you'll find in places like Bethesda, Rosslyn, or DC.  You just have to find whatever randomness to polish your skills on.  The place w/ the highest concentration of walls, rails, and elevation changes is going to be CSM . . . and it's even slim pickings down there.  I always justed practiced at parks and playgrounds.
