oh I see the bottom drawing there. lol I was thinking about tread designs for a parkour shoe and I was thinking something like that would be particularly effective - the horizontal bars would help provide grip in the forward/backward direction, perfect for wallruns, jumping, and running.
Have you ever seen the shoe Prototype This? They make prototypes for future inventions. anyway, they were making a prototype for pads that let you climb buildings. They came up with a silicon pad with horizontal bars such as you see on the tread in your design, and the bars provided an enormous amount of grip on the surface (one 6-inch pad could hold 5 pounds on a window with only its own friction. it was pretty amazing)
and the same principal applies to the areas on the side of the shoes where the bars go lengthwise along the shoe, where your foot applies pressure.
anyway, I don't know if you thought about the sole in a technical sense or just sketched out a simple design for the sole, but either way I like it.
still eagerly awaiting seeing something like this shoe on the market.
