Most of the workouts described in the videos are actually quite similar to exercises already listed in this thread (some of them are actually not goals but means to reach the goals listed), however they contain more gymnastics specific elements than what's already mentioned. I believe these bodyweight exercises improve multidimensional strength of overall body and such improvement can help you with parkour or basic fitness.

I said everyone in very general sense and coach Sommer is widely recognized figure in fitness related communities. I can safely say that someone like Steve Low who's well respected in apk general fitness forum would recommend reading coach Sommer's articles when it comes to bodyweight training and gymnastic specific strength training.

I am very familiar with Coach Sommers, his methods, and exercises; in fact I use majority of the exercises in these clips. All I am saying that you shouldn't make such general statements. Misguided teaching can be just as detrimental and harmful as no teaching at all in my opinion :)

Are you offended because the videos contain only male athletes? Coach Sommer trains mainly male athletes as far as I know so that would be why there are only male athletes, but this does not mean that women can not perform these exercises. I personally have not seen many female gymnasts practicing these exercises and I do not think they are even required to do any of the exercises for their routines. Does that mean these exercises are male specific? I certainly do not think so. I am not an expert in female physiology so I don't know whether some of the exercises are simply impossible to female athletes, however I believe they can still strive to do the exercises or variations of the exercises if they want.

Um...haha...I'm a guy.
This post was based off of my personal gatherings. Enjoy:)

Everyone should strive to do all the workouts described in the videos.

Aside from very obvious gymnastics specific routines.

Could you possibly back that statement up with some evidence? Not trying to emit male genitalia vibes here, but I am just curious as to why you would make that claim...

I think created a little bit of confusion...

On-Topic: I would like to see power specific stuff like clapping pullups and pushups with their progressions, but then again I know that there is quite a lot of them so if it makes the list too long then don't worry about it...

The point of the list is to encourage - not intimidate.

I feel like too much "really hard shit" is already on the list for this to be a beginner's guide sort of thing....maybe I'm wrong?  If more people agree with you, grayson, then I will edit it for sure...

Quick question... How are full ROM one-legged natural leg curls even physically possible? 'Cause I did three sets of regular NLC's yesterday, and I was about crying, and today my hamstrings are insanely sore...

Noted, I just achieved my first muscle up today and I felt like its something I could accomplish if I worked very hard at it, it was just a suggestion though and your probably right.

If you can find find even 3 clips of people doing OAMU's, then I would be amazed.

Is there a difference inbetween an HSPU and a dip? I mean isn't the weight just in a different place?

And that makes all the difference... Plus in a handstand you're standing on your hands.

Generally speaking, muscles get stronger in the way you train them.  If you train them in a dip position there is some translation to the HSPU but its not the same.  For results in all planes and ranges of motion then you need to train for each of those positions.  This is why training THROUGH a full range is better than AT a full range - that might be confusing to read at first :P
