INDY JAM 09 West Lafayette
« on: February 09, 2009, 09:55:01 PM »

*****UPDATE***** THE OFFICIAL DATE HAS BEEN SET, MARCH 28-29th *****UPDATE*****

Hey all, Raven here. The way the weather is going, it seems that things should be warming up pretty fast. I want to get a jam put together for March. I think this should be enough time for people who want to request off of work to do so as well as leave us enough time to work out all the kinks of the operation. The jam would take place mainly at Purdue University (west lafayette) and possibly downtown lafayette as well as the occasional spot and see sites that people may want to try out. As for now, I wanted a couple of questions answered from all who may consider attending.

-When is a good time for you? (I was thinking mid-march around spring break. But this may conflict with vacation plans so just let me know what works)
-What area will you be coming from?
-Could you help out in bringing anything to the jam? ex. food, rooms (a place to stay), camping gear, etc.
-Can you carpool people?

My answers to theses questions are: anytime in march (as of now), in west lafayette, can help with food, transportation, limited room, and possibly hotel costs, and I can carpool people from downtown indy.

Alright hope to hear back from you all soon! Let's make this a good one!

I'd like to come.  I'm from Jeffersonville In,  I'd probably be able to bring some people from Louisville Parkour as well.  I have two tents I could probably bring.

Awesome I love to see that jam season is just around to corner.  I'm down to come, just let me know when.  Just not spring break weekend.  I can carpool up to 3 people from indianapolis and I have camping gear and if really necessary can get some tents on loan from my work. Also if you want to, i can bring a food dish like some spaghetti, if you want to have a pitch in dinner one night.

Hell ya im so excited. Im anxious to see everyone and how much everyone has progress.  We'll see who has been keeping up with their conditioning over winter :)  and cant wait to jam out with you conrad now that your shins are healed up.

This sounds great guys. I think we've got some people from IU Parkour/Free Running that will definitely be interested.  I've got 2 or 3 sleeping bags I can bring with me. I'm sure I can get a big cooler to bring for food and drinks too.

If you have facebook, you can find me on there. Just do a search for rmontalv@purdue.edu There is a facebook event for this JAM. If you get in contact with me I can send you an invite. This will help with letting me know how many people are coming.

hhaha, well thank you me too!, but it's ConWAY, not conrad  :P :P

I think I will be coming to this, really I have no reason not to.
I'm talking to Sainaa/Airflowe right now about possibly picking him up,
maybe KyleRyan too...not sure yet.

But I can bring a tent and some sleeping bags, and def. can pitch in for
a dinner night.

I'm coming from NWI IN, the only other traceurs near me are Aladdin and Blank,
and if I go, 99.9% Blank will go and vice-versa. I'll let you know for sure as it
get's closer to JAM TIME BABY!!!!!!!  :D

lol whoops.  I had a general idea. At least I got the prefix right :)

I'm so ready to get back out there.  I've been struggling to get my confidence back after my broken hand. Plus I've been railing my back over and over practicing under-bars, so that also has been pretty discouraging. I think I'll be ok once I get back out there.

ATTENTION ALL GUESTS COMING IN FROM OUTSIDE OF THE LAFAYETTE/ WEST LAFAYETTE AREA!!!!

If you are traveling to Purdue for the Jam and need a place to stay let me know now. After I figure out how many non-locals are coming and need a place to stay I'll be able to figure out if we can fit everyone at residences. The recreation center at Purdue has said that they will not allow people to camp overnight on their fields, even though they do for games. As much as that sucks, I am looking into a few camping areas within a 10 minute drive from campus. A few people have been nice enough to offer room from their houses and I think it might be enough to fit all the non-locals. If we need a little more room, I will be willing to shell out money for a hotel room. One more thing, if you are coming with a group of people let me know how many and what their names are.

Oh another thing.

I will be bringing an 07 Kia Spectra, with room for three in the backseat.
Its the girlfriends, and she'd be coming with, mostly because she's never left this area, and maybe some for parkour.. (she says she wants to train, but doesnt have time to get good enough, I dont know, she's odd)

I might be picking someone up from ISU, not sure where he'd be staying, but Conway said that he could house she and I. (I think that was what was arranged)

Oh my point of this.. We'll have a car that can go from one spot to another during the jimdiddilyjamjam.

HAH! right the " jimdiddilyjamjam"  :D

Okok, I believe there is 1 spot left.
Depending on how many actually come from PKFR,
mike and aaron have positiviley reserved yet,
only syn...im not sure about sheeve either.

so what this means is, either 1-4 spots open.
