Parkour beginner training advice
« on: July 10, 2019, 09:46:34 AM »
Hi folks, I'm Jordan and I have a question. I'm new to parkour, but loved the style. Was it maybe Spider-Man that introduced me? Not really sure, but I loved it. And I would like to practice this sport as opposing to bring gym I go to every week. Would you have a suggestion or two of how to start? What to do?

Hey Jordan, Gym is actually really good place to start. Also you can try jogging, to make you more agile and flexible, which youll need a lot while parkouring. Also youll need a focus, since parkour is very about moving items in front of you.

Deadly serious. its not being talked much about it, but injuries are quite common, and for inexperienced parkourists death can occur more than you think.

Focus is a cognitive ability. You gotta train your brain. Try some app, like cognifit https://www.cognifit.com/, (or was it cognilift?), biofeedback https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biofeedback or neurofeedback training https://www.neurofeedbacktraining.com/. But there are many more ways to actually train your focus. Surely google it.
