You have to keep in mind that i am a noob for all intents and purposes and also poor. cant afford to be driving to shreveport or bossier city. Currently, i am looking around the campus to see if there is a parkour club here that i can learn at. I pretty much need to learn from step one.

Dude which campus are you at? If you're at tech, then you're at home.

Hey guys, I'm Jathon. I'm a junior at ULM in Monroe, and since I hear a lot of you are from Ruston, that's not too far.  :)
I train on the campus three days a week, usually with about 2-3 other people.
Although lately, I haven't felt any sense of dedication from anyone else around me.

This makes it pretty hard, because I don't train well alone. Would any of you guys want to get together and train?
I hear you guys mentioning jams, but I wouldn't mind also having a casual training session. Please let me know what we can do.
Since I don't drive, it would be great if we could meet in Monroe (maybe Forsythe Park), but tell me if I would have to go to Ruston.

I guess I should tell you about my training...firstly, I personally tend to treat the movement more as a discipline than an art form. Although I am not against gymnastics, I focus on the basic elements of A.D.D. ("art du displacement," used to encompass both parkour and freerunning) during training: running, jumping, climbing, balance, stealth, and touch. I love to push myself physically to its limits. I love the ruggedness and realness of A.D.D. This is why I tend to train outdoors (although I am not against indoors). My training is usually 70% conditioning and 30% technicality.

This is how I train. I'm saying this because I would like to train with people who also like to push their limits in the same way.
So...please let me know! http://www.facebook.com/jathon.thompson
