sore as HELL from the gym yesterday. felt really tight but stretched anyways.

middle split 72 inches.

front split 77 inches.

i remember once hearing that you should isolate your front splits, and not stretch them both at the same time,

would it be wise to alternate every other day? or just do them both the same day

I never heard that before -- I didn't do that...

then again, my front splits took me the longest to get and they still aren't too great...so you may want to let me know where you read that :)

there is no incorrect way....some ways are just better than others.

Try to alternate them and see how it feels -- i can't think of a reason why that would help but, hey, u never know.

well, after a good long stretch session i managed

70 middle
75 reverse
79 and change ...i think i over stretched... i have a weird feeling in my right ...inner crotch/thigh but it didn't stop me from going outside at 2 in the morning and sprinting up  and down my road, doing a backflip for every street lamp, and a roll for every parked car. one of the rolls i did hurt like a BITCH. but 1/12 on concrete isnt bad. :)

i also drilled dive rolls over my chest high fence. it went well.

its warm enough to start my out door training again,
this is my NEW trick list, i make a trick list every season of stuff im ready to bring outside, ive made two lists so far and it feels dam good to cross things off!

here goes..

1. WALL -inward sideflips. i got these bastards on lockdown at the gym last week , 400% easier then wall fronts... i'm just waiting on a dry sunny day to do them outside. the thing i love about this technique is unlike regular wallflips, running momentum is EASILY converted to rotational nd elevating energy. it feels just like a tic tac! <3 <3

2.standing double backflip from height. i have been experimenting with these in the gym on and off, i can usually take the full impact of the landing, and the worst thing thats happened to me was *punch* over rotation, this is the only one ive caught on filmhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeRhaOM7EEg (see the last clip) i think ill start on sand, just like i did for standing double fulls.

3. work exclusively on swingthrough technique for at LEAST 45 mins out of my once a week 3 hour gym sessions. ex. gainer switch-s/t gainer flash.

4.double corks from small height, i just tryed these a month ago off a vault and they were easy peasy, shouldnt be to hard to find a spot to do them.   ex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHFcECl-YXA

5. dash-dive rolls/dash domb really confident about the dash dive rolls, can do them in gym, not so much with the dash bomb but we will see!
:D

thats all i can think of at 2:49

SUCCESS

Went to sleep utterly dissapointed about the forecast, (rain showers) and the fact that i am no longer going to florida didn't help.
but to my surprise i wake up at noon to see the sun shining in my face. so i quickly get changed and head to the beach/park near me to train.

felt amazing. drilling my precision fronts, dive rolls, kongs, impact training/rolls from 10 foot roof lots of ground tumbling in the grass, and a dozen backs in the steamy parking lot. i realized it was still only 2 o clock. and i was not even close to complete. so i called up my freinds in huntington and told them to meet me at hecksher park in huntington village. a quick trip back to my house to grab my camera and i was off.

but not before stopping at the park for just a second with the engine on. i set down the camera, took a deep breath and landed my first wall-inward sideflip outside! -footage is converting-

with a great omen i jumped back in my ride and loudly exited the scene. what followed was hours and hours of... well, heaven. it would take a million words to describe everything i did, but i imagine any traceur would have performed similarly, had they been forced indoors since NOVEMBER. :(

BUT. its finally over. good weather is on the horizon, and some pretty good tricks too .

what an absolutely fantastic start for 09, stretching will hopefully make it into my schedule tonight,

i am officially high on parkour.

finally broke 80. sort of got blurry for a second, but it almost looked like 81.

80.5 :)
