Anybody in Waterford or the metro Detroit area?
« on: January 07, 2009, 08:08:13 AM »
So my brother, my brothers U of M buddy, my sax player and my old guitarist are trying to get ourselves into parkour. If there is anyone around here that knows what they are doing or would like to try to figure it out with us please hit me up. We are also very big fans of Ultimate Frisbee, if you are into that kind of thing.

Just let me know. Please.

Love and Rhythm,
Benjamin

Sweet. It's nice to know that there are at least a few people near by even if it is about 30 or 40 minutes away.

maybe when the snow finally clears up we could meet up sometime and train. I'm for sure going to have to hit you guys up if and when i play a show out there.

If you go to U of M I suggest you contact some of the local Ann arbor traceurs, I'm pretty sure they have weekly sessions and such.

And also, the funny thing is that I remember when I went to the Ann arbor jam, there were some Ultimate Frisbee people at our spot  :P

Our buddy that goes to U of M was going to hook up with them but he is taking some ungodly amount of credits and almost has no time to himself as is. So I took him next semester to leave room for the U of M parkour club.

On the note about UF. Ill tell you what if they play it the way we do in Waterford. Then those kids can take hits, run far and fast all day and have hand eye coordination like crazy. I never should have stopped playing. Then I wouldnt have to get ready for parkour.

Will do.

I've been doing parkour for roughly a year, and I'm 15 but people say I look maybe 18 because of how tall I am.
How about you?

I myself am 21, I have been doing parkour for... well i really haven't started yet its been all conditioning so far. I'm not very tall though only 5'7" or 5'8". I just wanted to know if you were able to drive anywhere and if you could show me anything parkour wise.

Conditioning's good! I would've conditioned more in the beginning if I knew how much more it would help...

And I'm 15 as well... hoping to drive soon :D

Cool, if someone don't mind carpooling, (I have gas money of course) it would be cool, if we can all meet up somewhere around our area, since y'know, most of us cant make it all the way to Ann Arbor.

How about we all throw out our general location such as towns and then one of us or myself can map it out. Then we post the map and from there we can figure out a route, meeting location, date, time and car pool stuff.

I'll start...

Waterford, MI 48328
