Ann Arbor Jam?
« on: May 18, 2006, 07:02:12 PM »
Ann Arbor is a wonderful place for parkour, and I was wondering if anybody would be willing and able to make it out here for maybe a weekend or just a day for a little jam? I'd like to meet some fellow MI traceurs and maybe get a little publicity for parkour in this town while we're at it. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks.

It would probably be easier for you fellas to let me know where open spots in your schedual are and I could work i around that. I'm pretty flexible.

I'm sure I could find a way to make it out there if I have enough time to plan ahead. Make a date, but NOT on the opening of B13 or no one will show up. =P ( June 2nd ) And this weekend is too soon/lots of time off that I am going to spend with my buddies in town.
Tricks aren't parkour but I'm not always faithful.

I was thinking sometime late June or July, maybe even August. I'll take a look at my schedual and propose some possible dates and try to get one most everybody can agree on.

Thanatos...PM'd you.

Just about anywhere is good, especially campus. Best thing to do is just take a day and go for a jog and look for spots. I train a lot at Bach, Mack, and Eberwhite a lot when i'm just drilling and strength training. Just head downtown around campus and keep an eye out. Buildings surrounding the diag have good spots, walk down the street in campus area and just walk the circumference of every building. For starting out though, just go to a local park and work on strength and conditioning, and practice vaults over and over.

Nobili-T:  I know you're gonna be all psyched up for NYC (GO PKUSA!!!  Michigan Represent!!! WHOOT!!!!) but when you get back start looking into dates for the jam.  I wouldn't recommending doing it around the same time as the Midwest jam (july 22 if I'm not mistaken).  Have a good time in New York!

Okay, some tentitive dates as promised... The weekend of July 15 or the weekend of July 22 right now. Let me know if there are any big conflicts with these. I'm trying to get as many traceurs out here as possible so the dates are very flexable. These are a start though.

Edit: Changed to early August.
