MMW JAM!!!
« on: January 03, 2009, 11:20:34 PM »
                                                MARCH MID-WEST JAM
Ok, so...THe new years jam didn't happen, st louis has had odd weather latly anyway..mostly cold. I think that we have a much better chance with this one...IF WE ALL DO OUR PART!(i know you all will ^_^ ) This is what i have so far:

I think maybe we should do a MUTI-STATE wide jam here in St Louis in maybe like march or so? It is normally decent weather then(unless we are getting our winter late this year which is what i fear?!). Maybe like Random date to get it out there and started; March 13-15?

I am going to start posting about the jam on other sites for a MARCH jam with an unannouced weekend yet but we need to decide(and pick a weekend that most(*ALL*) of the ppl on this board can come!!!) soon.

Once we decide we can start doing pricing and see what we can't do, i think if we get enough people to attend then we should have everyone pitch in to rent a van or two to get around. I know we talked about doing a metrolink/bus jam, but they are taking alot of routes out and screwin up everything from what i hear. and they raised the price a lil O.o  BUT we also could book a night at SKYZONE on sat night and we can all pitch in to get it booked, once again the van would help to get there.

Alright guys, now we have THREE MONTHS to get this jam going..
Ricki......

Let's see it happen guys....whatcha say?

First let's see when students are on Spring Break.  Unless we know when people are free to go, we could run into the same problem as New Year's.

Also, underage renting fees (under 25) are obscene. But otherwise it seems like a good idea. But what about April? When do most people have spring break?

My spring break is the last week of March, but since I don't have class on Friday, I could easily make it up there Thursday night or Friday morning for a jam starting on the thirteenth.

I go to school at meramec and mine is the 14-22...

Ok, here is my input so far: First of all March 13-15 is the same weekend as the St. Patrick's Day parade in St. Louis so that will add to diffuculties getting around and using buildings. Second of all, while sky zone is great and fun, it is very dangerous. While some people have no problem, I jumped three times there and I broke my ankle. Also, I believe metrolink would be our best bet of transportation due to prices for people under 25.

I agree, I'm in the area so if you'd like any assistance in setting up the jam I can give it a shot.

From what I've been seeing (from three people  ::)), it looks like the best time for this would be the last week of March.  Does anyone have a problem with this?

That sounds good to me, seeing as I'm only in school MWF 7-12:50 it shouldn't be a problem for me to make it whether I have school that day or not. Let's get this thing rolling and fast! Especially if we are going to try to pull from any surrounding states. We need to come up with a good looking outline of the weekend so we can post it on other surrounding state's boards.

I can rent a car and drive from KC, if anyone from here wants to ride with me.  I can't take Friday off work, though.  But I get done by 8:30, if you're willing to leave late Friday (it's only a 3 hour drive).

I'm totally down for this!  How is accommodation going to work?

i am in columbia and would be able to pay some of gas money for a ride from here to stl...maybe someone from KC can stop, i'm only a few miles off of 70....

Also, metro would be great...and ok then no sky zone, jsut trickin lol. Anyway as far as lodging, i think if you get it in advancde you can get rooms at some hotels cheap with group rates if everyone stays at the same hotel. Also i might be able to help find a few ppl places at fellow trickers house, i no longer live in stl or i would say at my place.....

i had posted before on other states all the borederin ones and IN since they have a hge scene there. Someone should update those by postin replys. Also i will be sendin the guy who updates the main page/event calender all the info and he is gonna make posts on there bout it....but i'll e doin that this weekend/next week.....is there any team/groups that are coming that want their gorup name put in the event info?Huh? i already will be putting NLPK and TRICKset....i know theres more...also we NEED TO GET VIDEO of this jam....

^_^ can't wait...for those who are wanting to help out i just thought of somethings:

St louis ppl,
find GOOD spots and make a list and send them to me(i'll be gettin others imputs but jsut so i can make a master list to choose form and make a orute on the metrolink, also call places that we want to trick at (IE malls, colleges(slu, wash u, Meramac, anyothers) and any other places). I really want a good route planned, do your best to help, i know stl pretty damn good and know the metrolink pretty good so it'll be easy once i get a good list of places..

For those out side of stl,
You could call hotels or lodging places in/around stl and get rates for gorups and all and post them on this page....

Alright guys...start spreadin the word and we got this!!!!! i'm aimin at a dozen or more from out of town and then the stl trickers.....

Hmmm... So, Indiana has been planning a big jam for the same weekend. We'll probably lose a lot of the potential Illinois and Indiana crew to that jam.  Still, it's sweet that we're having a simultaneous jam.  I was bummed about missing the Indiana one, but I just couldn't make it that far in one weekend.

I just found out a few things that will put a little bit of a snag in my plans.  First, I'm going to have my car worked on the 23rd, which shouldn't take more than two days or so.  Second, my family is planning on going somewhere for a day or two while I'm on break.  This isn't too bad, because it's not for a very long time and we're thinking about going to St. Louis, but I would basically be unavailable to make it to a jam while I'm out with my family.  That said, let's settle on 2-3 days for a jam and we'll see if I can manage to get there.
