Forward roll (gymnastics) is the first progression before a front tuck, because you are essentially just doing a forward roll in the air. And I would slightly disagree with Travis as far as trampolines not helping you learn an acro element. If you really focus on the correct technique in your flip (setting up high, nice tight tuck, landing) all the trampoline does is allow you to practice your movement almost in slow motion. Thats how I fixed my backtucks into doing them in place, as well as how I got my gainers. You just have to make sure you aren't just throwing it though, because a trampoline is infinitely more forgiving than ground, and while you can use it to learn technique correctly, more often than not it does just end up being something that can only get you comfortable, with being upside down because you have to actually care about doing the technique correctly for it to translate, rather than just getting the move.
