You'll Never Know What This Topic Is About
« on: November 03, 2008, 05:56:29 PM »
In case you were wondering, it's my introduction. Surprise!

I'm 14, living in the 'burbs of Chicago, and have been practicing parkour for about a month, mainly doing kong vaults and the likes with the picnic table in my back yard. I actually got into parkour because of the game "Mirror's Edge" - how sad.  :P

Actually, that's how I found out about Parkour, too.  I found out last Thursday and wasted no time in finding a good site. I don't have any advice; I'm seeking answers myself. But it's nice to know at least one other person found out because of Mirror's Edge.  :)

hey, I DIDN'T start because of Mirror's Edge!   :-Sarcasm

But its fine however you start, the important thing is where you are going.  Train hard and Welcome.

True that, Mirrors Edge grabbed a lot of people, just enjoy it and remember that it isn't as easy as pressing a button.. though it is more fun   ;D Welcome to the forum, happy training

lol don't feel bad, Assassin's Creed was actually my weakness!  :PAnd I do play Mirror's edge. lol Honestly at first I didn't think free running was even legal til I saw all these videos on youtube. The more I watched to more I craved to run with such speed and elegance and freedom! So yeah, I have a long way to go though lol.

Lol Same here. I loved games that involved climbing. Like prince of persia, assassin's creed and mirror's edge (which finally made me do research and start parkour.)  And it inspired me more because the main character was a female. :P
Birds glide freely and marvellously across the sky. No boundaries. No limits. Why should I be confine? No matter how many walls you built, I’ll find a way. I can overcome anything.  You can’t bound me , because I have no limits.
