Back on topic....
Well the one's I work with are around an inch and a half. I do everything I can on them except for speed vaults.

The only ones I can find are at max 2", and what I want to know about this is

WHERE THE HELL CAN YOU FIND FIVE INCH RAILS??! That is 'effing huge man. I just can't imagine possibly handling something that thick.

In my town there's a rail (well its actually the top of a swing set) and i cant wrap my fingers all the way around it. Its really easy to work on but I think the smaller the better cuz if you can do it on a thread (exaggeration) you can do it on a log. Then you're all well rounded and stuff

the only thing to me that matters about a railing is the stability. its hard to adapt to a railing that just fell over when you vaulted it.
