Silver Spring Training Jam October 26th
« on: October 12, 2008, 03:40:48 PM »
I'm organizing a jam Sunday October 26th, that'll be pretty fun and hopefully follow a similar format as the Meridian Hill Park jam, although we are going to be moving around more. Also I cant really host a barbeque afterwards but people can bring food or buy food at any of the nearby stores.

Where:Ellsworth Park is where we will start with a light warmup (and by light I mean maybe not so light) We'll move on to other locations later in the day.
When:11:00 Sunday October 26th
Why: Because there are many places in silverspring that have never been used although they are a little bit more of a jog.
Who:Anyone who wants to come and do parkour and learn and train and teach.

I'll try to get the WJ Parkour crew out there for at least one of the events. We're hoping to learn something! and it all depends on transportation. Is Zen Park near any Metro stations?....walking distance

Its easily within walking distance from the metro...You guys should definetly come, it would be nice to not have to hang out with old people all the time.

Just kidding though.

How many people are you planning on bringing?

Hey now!  You callin' me old now Aaron?  Hahaha, no more bulgogi for you!  And you're doing just fine with this double-header jam organization.  Think of it as practice for wherever you go to college -- you know you'll end up started a club or group there :D.

After looking up photos of the park, I just have to double check;  Is this the park that many refer to as "Zen Playground"?

we must harness our collective will power so as to avoid a mid-jam chipotle break... chipotle = stomach brick = bad for pk

As of now I can guestimate that 5-6 of us from WJHS will show up this week

lets just hope we get there on time. xD if not I guess I'll call when we get there and find out where you guys are. How long do you think you'll be @ Zen Park before you move on?

i have no idea, we will probly do a formal introduction and everyone will do a warmup, hopefully i wont be bleeding as i try to explain stuff this time so ill be more on top of my game. It all depends on how much quickly people get bored.

awwww man, none of us could make it last Sunday, sorry guys.... It's the end of the school quarter and i guess we have grades to pull up. Parkour really does take up alot of time.  :)

Anyways I really hope another Sunday Jam gets scheduled soon, the one we went to was sweet, and helpful...
