Unemployment
« on: October 10, 2008, 04:51:36 AM »
I was just shown to the door at my latest place of employment.  Just that you all should know.  Now I only have a full time job that being parkour and I am going to work my ass off because i have no excuse not to.

Animus, I think we've all just become accustomed to the fact hat you are superior to every one of us in every conceivable way - I STILL don't think that means you need to bash someone who just lost their f#cking job. I try to leave well enough alone when it comes to you, but Dale is a superb member of this community - give the man a break.

Damn bro, sorry to hear about your misfortune. I sometimes wish I didn't have a job, but then the harsh reality and panic would set in. So I hope you keep looking up in these times! I know you are dedicated to all you do, so may the perfect opportunity find your way!

Side Note: Are you gonna make it to the jam on Sat?

aw, dale, that really sucks! i hope you can make the most of this "unscheduled time off" and not let depression or fear suck the life out of this season.  i wish you the best and hope the perfect job comes your way.  in the mean time, may you advance in your training by leaps and bounds ( ;) ).

That sucks man. Think of it as a good opportunity to train as much as you want! I hope you get back on you feet soon.
This post was based off of my personal gatherings. Enjoy:)

Rough.  Dale is a personal friend.  That was a teasing, not a criticism.

And given I've kept my mouth shut on political/personal opinions on Parkour for the past year here, I think there are other members of this community with superiority complexes that you should worry about.

I guess it's one of those "double edged swords".

You have tons of time to train now

But you have no job.

Good luck with training/new job!

Dale, I'm sorry to hear that. But if there's one thing I'm certain of, it's that when one door closes, another one opens.

I was crushed when I got laid off from my first career (translation management) due to the dot-com crash. But then an amazing thing happened: someone suggested I look into teaching as a career. Truth be told, I turned my nose up at the idea at first, and my exact words were, "Well, I've got nothing better to do."

And honestly, becoming a teacher was the second best choice of my life (best choice=saying yes to my husband's marriage proposal) :) I can't imagine being in any other career, now.

Opportunities will come your way, I'm certain of it. Be willing to jump, and see where life takes you. Best of luck to you!

Animus, the "Sarcasm" and "Tongue out" smileys do a good job of conveying kidding. Rolling eyes doesn't. I think it's sad that I could have thought you were serious based on most of your posts starting with how you are somehow well versed in every imaginable subject.  If I put a rolls eyes here it would be much different than if I do this :P
See :)

Mark, you said it yourself.  I "read way too f#cking much."  I don't even remember ever claiming to be well-versed in anything other than cultural studies..  I just talk the way I normally do. :(

I'll keep the smilie thing in mind.
