UTG Ideas?
« on: October 01, 2008, 06:59:05 PM »
Hey guys,

This is basically a call out to any ideas of places you would like to see me do a UTG vid over. I have a couple more ideas of places in my head but I'd love to get some feedback and see what places you'd like to see that'd help out.

Peace

I'd love to see a elementary school playground. That's pretty much the only place i go to train. Great videos, Jereme. Keep up the good work. *thumbs up*  8)

Maybe a good candidate would also be just a courtyard.  What i'm trying to say is basically just to pick a place that is not rich in obstacles, a place that you would normally find enticing to go and train on... That a good idea?

The woods, a field, a clearing, a tree or series of trees, a porch, a park, a trampoline. Truth is, you could make a video like this anywhere. Even if the place was not unconventional, i believe it would be a good idea to show unconventional ways of training there.

now THAT is creepy.

And probably illegal.  And almost certainly disrespectful.

I was going to suggest a school or the playground it has, it's one of the easiest training places to find, but I'm sure there's plenty of methods of training there that are often overlooked.  Maybe a simple parking garage, stairs, baseball field (Fences/benches and stuff surrounding it), a small bridge (The little walking ones that are only about 5 feet above very shallow water), possibly even an elevator (Something along the lines of practicing tic-tacs as you wait inside it).

I wouldn't recommend this unless you wish to be stuck or piss off an elevator tech.

A single wall, like one you wo ld find surrounding a dumpster, or a handicap ramp/rails. Both are things every town has and have infinite possibilities.

A car.

More specifically, a pickup truck. I have a Ford Ranger and more than once while waiting for people I've practiced precisions across the bed, vaults into and out of the bed, palm spins, hood slides, you name it.

So yeah, a car, even better a truck.

I say the woods or some more natural environments. There is A LOT of potential within those kind of places, people just don't always see it, and that's were you come in ;)
This post was based off of my personal gatherings. Enjoy:)

Natural(woods) sounds good, I also like bleachers, home and the truck one (though I don't know any one with a truck to make the video haha)

Animus for open field do you really think that'd be one worth doing? it'd really just be running/jumping/QM variations that I think most people can already think off, I don't find it really being that Unconventional is all because I almost always use a open field type area when doing warm ups in groups
